Opening a Gift From God

God is actively reaching out to bless, guide, and comfort His children. Many people miss this because they have no reference for what these expressions of God’s Love for us look like, or they too easily allow their minds to blow it off. A living teacher, one who knows the ways of Spirit and can help you understand your experiences is imperative for those seeking to truly know God.

Imagine you found a forgotten, unopened gift tucked away in a closet. When you saw the gift was for you, your curiosity would likely become excitement. The love put into choosing and wrapping the gift would still be there, waiting to reach your heart. I recently found such a gift and it was from God. While looking through my old journals, I found my first 3-Day Spiritual Retreat at the Nature Awareness School in 1997. I had a lot of fear then, especially of speaking in front of people, and though I longed to have spiritual experiences myself, I feared it might be too much and scare me. I did not see then how perfect my experience was for me, chosen with loving care by God.

On the second night, we gathered and sang a long HU. Though we sat very close together, I felt expansiveness around me, as if I were in a huge room. I opened my heart as much as I could and looked into the darkness, hoping to see something. With closed eyes, I saw a white light like stars in the sky and another light that turned before me like a small spotlight. I wondered if this was the Light of God Del had spoken of, or was it just the light I often saw at night. For years, I would sometimes see light in various colors float across my vision in a dark room. I enjoyed watching them, but never thought much about what they were beyond assuming it was a physical phenomenon.

The next day I listened as other students shared their experiences. Often they began by saying that they really had not experienced anything. No matter how amazing the experience, doubt can creep in, especially if the experience is new and not understood. As they shared, Del helped one student after another recognize that what they experienced was a gift from God. Some felt peace, some felt love, and some saw the Light of God. As the weekend progressed, I stopped being surprised to hear how unexpectedly blessed each Soul was. Still, I doubted my own experiences. It is much easier to see how loved another Soul is, how blessed they are. This can be a first step, first recognizing a gift or quality in someone else, and then seeing it in oneself.

Realizing that God’s Love was truly for me too, took longer. I let fear stop me from sharing my experience that weekend. What might I have learned then if I had shared, gaining help and wisdom from the Prophet? In my memories I found the gift still there waiting to be opened. When sharing His Love, God does not want to scare His children. He showed me His Light, which is love, in a gentle way that was already familiar to me. Not only was I just as blessed as my fellow students, I had been for years. Every time I saw light in a dark room, what I thought was some physical thing in my, eyes was really God saying, “I love you.” This realization rippled through my memories like a healing. Knowingness of God’s Love and blessings replaced how I felt and thought of myself then. By seeing the truth, I gained a new perspective that shifted how I saw that moment and all that came after.

Would my life be different now had I found the courage to share then, if I had understood then how blessed I was? I will never know what might have been. I savor this blessing now and wonder what other treasures lie in my journals and memories, waiting to be opened. What treasures lie in yours? Is there a dream so special you have never forgotten? Was there a coincidence that seemed far beyond what chance could bring? These gifts still wait to be opened. Within lies this truth: you too are loved and blessed by God.

Visiting a Friend in a Dream

Sometimes we may be reunited spiritually with someone very shortly after they pass. Other times, it might be years later. As much as we may want to see our loved ones and friends immediately, it ultimately brings more peace to trust God’s timing on these matters.

Our book “Visit Loved Ones in Heaven” is filled with incredible stories of people reuniting with lost loved ones.

In the mid nineties I took a job at a manufactured housing retirement community in North Carolina. My employer, Tony and his wife, owned the business. He was my supervisor and mentor, and I loved him dearly. He was very charismatic and had a beautiful way with people, yet was very firm and to the point if needed. Over the years he guided me in overseeing the community. He kept me entertained with all of his wonderful stories and his delightful sense of humor. His stories were about growing up, experiences living in Chicago, and of his visits to the “Old Country” or Sicily.

Over the years I noticed that something was changing, that he was not as sharp as he had been, and was more and more forgetful. He kept repeating things, and was just not on top of things in general. I was puzzled with what was happening and his family was having a hard time reconciling the changes. His wife took him for all sorts of tests. Eventually they realized that he was having an early onset of Alzheimer’s. He was just in his early sixties.

Over the next few years his son Nick ended up being my supervisor and I appreciated his guidance. In 2003 an opportunity opened up for me to move to Charlottesville, Virgina. Then a few years ago I heard that Tony had passed on.

It has been nearly twelve years since I moved. This past week I had a wonderful dream with Tony. His son was quietly standing to his left. Tony and I were seated across from each other in a large wooden booth in a large expanse of room, and he was animatedly talking away like his old self. A journal was spread out in front of him and I could see that it was full of notes. He excitedly shared about a spiritual seminar that he had been to and seemed very pleased about that. I was enjoying myself immensely being with a special friend. All of a sudden it occurred to me in the dream that he was not having any difficulty conversing, not struggling for words. My first thought was that it was a total miracle, that there had been a drug discovered that had reversed his Alzheimer’s! Then I remembered that wouldn’t be possible as he had passed on.

My heart is full of gratitude to the Prophet for this reunion with my dear employer and friend Tony. It was a huge gift to be with him again, and experience him communicating as his true self, Soul. And I am grateful to know that he is continuing to grow spiritually. Love does transcend all barriers of time and space. It is so reassuring to know life continues on into other rooms of God’s mansions. Thank you for this beautiful gift.

God Took the Wheel

God can literally reach into the physical and change the course of events to keep us safe if it is not our time to go. I wonder how many times this happens and just gets considered good luck? God certainly does not need the credit. We are the ones who benefit when our blessings are recognized.

Traveling home from a winter class at the Nature Awareness School it had begun to snow when I got to the mountains of West Virginia. The highways were clear of snow but once I took the exit to go to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the roads began to get covered and slick. There was a little red car in front of me. I was able to keep up for awhile but it was going faster than I felt was safe, so I let it gain distance until it disappeared out ahead. I was trying to be cautious and travel slower, below the speed limit.

When cresting a hill and starting down the other side I saw a tractor-trailer coming from the opposite direction. Wanting to slow down more, I pulled the gear shifter from Drive down into Third gear. Wrong thing to do! My car started to slide and then in a mild panic I over compensated which caused more sliding. The lights of the tractor-trailer were getting closer and closer! I saw a yard and some cars to my right. All I could think of was “body shop.” Now the back end of the car began to slide around toward the front of the car – “this is not good!” Now, as I am slowly spinning around and sliding towards the tractor-trailer my thought was “this is going to hurt,” so I closed my eyes and yelled out to God. It was loud and clear.

The truck came to a complete stop and my car had finally stopped moving. I did not come close to the tractor-trailer or slam into the hillside. God had his hand on my car, that is the only way it can be explained. The car stopped so gently, just before a drain inlet. There was no jarring, crunching, or damage of any kind. Once I opened my eyes and began breathing again, I knew and immediately thanked God. The tractor-trailer started up the hill again and once it had passed, all I had to do was back up a little and get over to the right side of the road. Thank you God for always being with and protecting me.

A Sky Full of Love

God uses His Light as a major way to deliver blessings to Soul. The light may come to us in the dream state, during prayer, or contemplation, while spiritually traveling, or in the following example, in the waking state. The more we are blessed to experience the Light of God, the more conditioned we become to accepting the blessings contained within the light. One of which, is comforting us through lifting sadness from our heart.

In the fall of 1997 I was driving the fifty-minute commute to my new job. As I did each morning, I sang HU the entire way into the city. Not an innate morning person, I appreciated the peaceful time to express my love directly to God. It was a time of great change in my life. It was one of those transitional periods where a relationship, job, and living arrangements all had recently ended. Everything was wide open, new, and uncertain. It was an amazing opportunity to put more of my trust and focus from the changing temporal world and onto the solid foundation of the Divine.

My experiences at the Nature Awareness School had blessed me with seeing the Light of God many times. At the school in the presence of my spiritual teacher, Del Hall, I experienced this light many times. Flashes of pink, bursts of blues and orange, beams of white and gold. As my spiritual strength and endurance developed under his guidance, so did the length, clarity, and intensity of the light I experienced.

The common thread at this time was that my experiences with the Light of God all occurred at the Nature Awareness School in the presence of Del. Though I spent several weekends a year there, most of the year was lived off the mountain. And that life was surely in need of the Light of God! It is impractical for the Prophet to be with you physically everywhere. But spiritually you can be aware of his presence throughout your day and in doing so, invest in your relationship with God through one of His living Prophets, whom He always blesses us with here on Earth.

So that morning as I drove into the city I experienced a mixture of sadness and hope, wondering about my place in God’s great creation. Where was I heading? I wondered. What was God’s plan for me, and for my life? The morning sky was slowly transitioning from dark to light – a metaphor for my life the two years I had been coming to the school. The sun was just waking, the colors of the day beginning to stir.

Suddenly the sky filled with the purest blue light. It was not an everyday, afternoon blue sky. It was startling. It stretched like blue fire from horizon to horizon. It surrounded me in a bubble of grace and warmth. I had seen the sky fill with supernatural blue light once before on a farm – years before I started coming to the school. That was also during a time of great transition. It tugged at my heart then as it did now, but I had not been conditioned to accept the amount of love present in the light. It had opened my heart and soothed me, but I did not recognize the holy Presence of God and the unconditional love that was there for me.

Fortunately the road I was on was a highway, a straight road with few cars at this time and no traffic lights. I continued to HU. The sky again filled with blue. I recognized this as the Prophet’s presence. Though not limited to it, the color blue is often the spiritual calling card of the Prophet of the times. As the sky filled I felt my heart fill with God’s Love. Yes, I was going through changes in my life, and maybe a few hardships, but I was not abandoned. I felt my sadness lift, replaced by a certainty that I would not take a single step alone. The Prophet, visible or not, would accompany me every step of the way, both at the school and off the mountain.

From the beginning Del, the Prophet, has inspired me to take the love and light that I experienced every time I set foot on the property and bring it with me into my daily life. Singing HU and appreciating the Hand of the Divine that touches my life on a daily basis has helped me draw nigh to God and deepen my awareness of that sacred, unbreakable connection. There is stability and love in my life now that I did not even dream of then.

That day God declared His Heavenly Love for me. The sky full of spiritual light was a Divine gift that brought a profound healing. Fears and doubts fell away, replaced by a confidence that I could experience the Prophet in all areas of my life and not just when I was at class. To walk in the Love of God is immensely personal and a direct reflection of one’s relationship with the Divine. My relationship with the Prophet has grown over the last twenty years. It has enhanced all my other relationships and delivered me to the very abode of my Creator.

How grateful I am that God never abandons His children. He provides healing, clarity, protection, and a Prophet here in the physical to teach us, guide us, and walk with us all the way back to the Heart of God. Thank you Del, for guiding me on this sacred journey.

Love of God is All Around

God’s Love is the food of Soul. It is all around us shining through into our daily lives in numerous ways. There is no lack of Divine Love, it is simply a matter of learning to recognize it in all its forms. Most fortunate are those who have been given the eyes to see this love.

One evening as I prepared for bed after a day at the Nature Awareness School, I knelt in prayer by my sleeping bag and asked to more clearly see the many ways in which God’s Love pours into my life and to help me accept more of it. Sometime later I awoke in a dream, and found that I was at my home, a few hours drive away from the school.

In this dream I was aware of my teacher standing next to me after he inwardly led me to my home. As I looked around I could clearly see that everything in my life is an expression of God’s Love. I saw the smiles of my children and wife, the fruit trees in the yard and forest beyond, the furniture, house, and land; all these things are expressions of God’s Love. As I looked around, seeing my usual surroundings in a new light, I perceived that all these everyday things of life sparkled with a golden light. The Prophet, my teacher, walked with me and showed me that all my relationships and all the objects in life, from cars to couches, from food to fresh water, are all available to me by the Grace of God, and are actual physical manifestations of the Light and Sound of God, the Love of God. I cannot say exactly how this information was conveyed to me, for I did not hear words spoken, but simply knew.

In this experience we even drove along my regular routes to the children’s school and to my workshop and office. The way was paved with golden light. I could see there were no limits to the many forms of love, which are present in my life, and I am constantly surrounded by God’s Love. It is present in a fixed, static form that comprises buildings and items, it comes through other loved ones in my life, and there is also a dynamic, flowing love which constantly pours forth into my heart, through the Prophet, from the very Heart of God.

So take a moment to look around your own life, and with Divine help and inspiration, see it all in a new light. There is no need to seek the Love of God, for you have this already in the measure you can accept today. With gratitude for the life we have today, let us draw nearer to God, and find a more abundant life tomorrow as God responds to our invitations, and draws nearer to us.

It Tastes Better With Love

There is truly something to the principle of doing things when motivated by love. People genuinely feel it. This is why Grandma’s cookies always tasted the best – they were made with love. Do whatever you do today with love and for the love of it. Your world will be much better.

It was a weekend morning in our new home and my husband and I were sharing some quiet time together. My heart was filled with love and gratitude for so many blessings that we had received in the process of getting a new job, finding a new home, and throughout the move. We were both pretty exhausted from the long process. My husband had a lot of aches and pains from working hard and from not having his supplements for a while since they were still packed in a box somewhere. I had made myself some coffee and I wanted to do something nice for him. So I made him a cup of tea just the way he likes it. I had love in my heart for him while I was making it. We sat down together to enjoy our hot beverages. He drank two sips and exclaimed at the amazing feeling of healing that he felt running through his body. He immediately felt better. He asked what was in the tea. “Love,” I replied.

Help Finding a New Home

For those who understand and pay attention to the “Language of the Divine,” life can be a joy to live. Whether through a nighttime dream or an awake-dream this loving guidance is available at every step on the journey through life. It provides the insight we need for smooth passage and serves as a constant reminder – we are loved and we are not alone.

A couple of years ago my fiancé and I decided to relocate from Massachusetts to Virginia. After identifying the general area we felt would be a good place to live and build a business, we began our search for a house to rent.

Two months prior to our anticipated move we flew to Virginia with a list of houses we hoped to see in our short visit to the area. On our way to the first house on our list, a “for rent” sign in front of another house caught my eye. The front door was wide open so we stopped. The owners happened to be packing their car with a few last things before moving to Massachusetts, of all places. We were met with a warm welcome and gracious offer to be shown around. It turned out that the house was not right for us, but the experience stood out as an awake dream, a communication from the Divine, reminding us to stay flexible where our plans were concerned and alert to other “open doors” of opportunity that may catch our attention along the way.

This sense of adventure stayed with us as the day unfolded. Everything just flowed. Planned stops interwoven with unexpected detours and surprises as if we were being led from one open door to the next. Toward the end of the day I followed an inner nudge to explore a neighborhood on the other side of town where, as far as we knew, there were no available houses for rent. To our surprise we came upon a “for rent” sign in front of a gray house with an unusual roofline. When we pulled up, the license plate “OPNLOCK” on the vehicle in front of us caught my attention. The front door was wide open and workmen were coming and going. One of them directed us to the landlord who happened to be working on-site that day. Although the house had just been rented, when he heard what we were looking for, he suggested another house he had nearby which was not quite ready yet. As it turned out it was the perfect house for us, in the perfect location, at the perfect price.

Later that night as I leafed through my dream journal before bed I came across a sketch I’d scribbled upon waking from a dream a few days prior. It depicted a gray house with an unusual roofline located where two main routes intersected, an exact description of the house where we met our future landlord that day. To me this was an added layer of reassurance that we were moving in the right direction, in harmony with God’s plan, as we embarked on this major life change.

At the end of the day any worry I had been carrying about our upcoming move was replaced with trust and a sense of adventure for what lay ahead. Along with this, a gentle knowingness that our efforts, coupled with an openness to being led by the Divine along the way, would result in everything working out for the best. Which it has, in every way.

The golden thread of God’s Love weaves an abundant life for each of us. Developing our own personal relationship with the Divine is the key that opens the door to a truly blessed life.

Light of God in My Heart and Sky

The Light of God is not something reserved only for spiritual giants of the past. Each and everyone of us is a beloved child of God and as such, we too can experience the Light of God. It comes in many forms and ultimately is an expression of God’s Love for us.

Some twenty years ago, at my very first spiritual retreat at the Nature Awareness School, I experienced the Light of God in two wondrous ways. A lovely evening was quickly giving way to night, as my teacher, Del Hall suggested we find a comfortable spot in the woods to try a simple spiritual exercise which he had just shared with us. As the first stars began to appear in the darkening sky, I found a place in the woods that seemed just right for me. A thick summer canopy of oaks, hickory, and maples formed a high arched ceiling above me, with just a very small window to the sky visible through the leaves. As I settled down on a comfortable old blanket upon the forest floor, I began to sing HU, an ancient song of love for God which seemed brand-new to me at the time. As I sang this ancient name for God, I became aware of a gentle, deep blue light which appeared before me. As I kept my eyes closed and continued with the HU song, I saw the light grow in both size and intensity until it nearly surrounded me. It was beautiful and serene, strong, but not blinding. I allowed it to surround me, and I felt almost as if an old friend was lovingly and gently placing a blanket or comforter around me. I knew without a doubt that this blue light was a divine expression of love being shared with me.

Del had suggested that we sing HU for a few minutes, then ask, “Creator, please show me love.” I felt that I had already been shown before I even asked, yet I continued as my teacher suggested and whispered, “Creator, please show me love.” As soon as I had done so, I had a strong urge to open my eyes and look up, into the forest canopy and the tiny window to the sky. As I did so, a brilliant, white shooting star blasted its way across the little bit of sky which was visible to me. Awestruck, I leaned back and gazed at the little patch of sky in wonder. Of course I had seen meteors before, but this appeared at the very instant I asked to be shown God’s Love, right through the center of my tiny view of the sky. I knew that this was a physical expression of God’s Love for me.

Later, after discussing this experience in class with Del, I began to understand that the gentle blue light I and some others had seen is rather like a calling card from the Prophet, an invitation to draw nigh to God and embark on the grandest adventure of all. And the meteor? Well, no one else in the class saw a meteor. For me, the experience helped me to see that there is absolutely no limit to the manner in which God can bestow light and love upon us, the children of God. And ever since then, every shooting star which I happen to see reminds me of that moment when God became more of a living reality to me, and that God loves me, just as God loves you.

Communication With God

People through the ages have wrestled with the same questions, “Does God hear me and if so, what does His reply sound like?” The answer to the first question is yes, God hears you. Learning to recognize His reply is an art-form, one that is very doable and one my father has been helping people gain fluency in for twenty-five years. Your ability to recognize the “Language of the Divine” – to see all the ways in which God communicates with you daily is one of the greatest attributes you can develop as Soul.

When do I get to talk to God?

When I was a child, I had a question in my heart that I never asked anyone. I wondered, “When do I get to talk to God?” I could not think of someone to ask this question. Who would know? Not my parents, friends, or even a priest. When I watched movies about the afterlife, I paid attention to see if they had any ideas about the matter, but I never saw anything that satisfied me.

I did not have something I wanted to say; I wanted to listen to God. What would He tell me, in that hoped for meeting? Would He explain the why of everything, or was there something more, something deeper that He would express? Though my mind wondered if only important people would be blessed with such a meeting, my heart always asked when, never if.

Still seeking an answer, I began taking classes at the Nature Awareness School in 1996. As soon as I arrived on the property, I felt like I had come home. When Del spoke about Spirit, I heard truth. I knew I had come to the right place.

What I did not realize until much later is that my question was already being answered. In that class, I sang HU for the first time. Singing HU, expressing Soul’s love to God, is communication. God hears every HU, every prayer, and answers in some way. When a beloved child says, “I love you,” a loving Father does not sit silent. He answers, “I love you, too” in countless ways. Learning to recognize and accept the love that returns time and again is one of the many joys of this path.

In time, I began paying attention to my dreams and, most importantly, developing an inner relationship with the Prophet. Through the relationship, I can be in constant communication with God. The love I feel, a nudge to try something a little differently, a helpful dream, and awareness of how I can make my life even better are all from God through the Prophet. His presence blesses me every day. Rather than one hoped for meeting I found I could communicate with God daily, even every moment, as long as I remain aware of the Prophet.

My mind had it wrong years ago. Every Child of God is important and precious to God. He reaches out to us constantly, communicating in every possible way, and maybe a few more, too. The question is not are you important enough for God to talk to; the questions is, are you listening?

Guidance Finding a Child’s Birthday Present

This is a great example of following the guidance of Spirit – of being able to recognize those gentle whisperings and having the trust to follow them. It is also a reminder there is nothing to “small” in which Spirit can help us with.

It was the evening before the birthday party of my girlfriend’s three year old son. I was arriving back in town after a long road trip, and was on a mission to get this little guy a present. Ideally I wanted to find a Toys R Us, but I wasn’t even sure if there was one in my town. My car doesn’t have GPS, so as I got into the outskirts of town, I began to think of some other stores I did know of, and headed toward that area.

As I proceeded, I found myself going a different way than I might normally go to those stores, and then before I was even halfway there, I felt a strong nudge to exit near a familiar shopping mall. But once I exited, I felt another nudge to turn away from the shopping mall, heading in the opposite direction on a road I am pretty sure I had never driven. After about another half mile I rounded a bend and there was a Toy’s R Us, that I didn’t even know existed, in an area where I had never been.

I knew the Hand of God had guided me to this place, and specifically the Prophet, who I am blessed to have as my spiritual guide. This was beyond any coincidence, and I have grown familiar with the relaxed, gentle inner nudges that Divine Spirit gives me throughout the day. I had already felt relaxed and “tuned in” all afternoon, and had enjoyed a particularly satisfying HU song that morning before I left on my trip. Singing HU every day, and throughout the day, helps me to stay in alignment with Spirit and “hear” God’s Voice, which comes in so many different forms, in this case my own built-in GPS that guided me straight to where I needed to be.

My heart was already open to God’s Love as I entered the store; such was my gratitude for the guidance I had just received. I browsed around for a while and eventually decided on a basketball hoop for toddlers that can be attached to a door or wall and used for indoor play. It was either between that or a freestanding one, of which there was only one left. This one had a few more bells and whistles and was more for outdoor use – but I felt good about the choice I had made and paid for it and left the store.

However, as I reached the parking lot I began to second-guess my decision, thinking about the freestanding hoop and how that might be better. My mind began weighing out the pros and cons until next thing you know I was headed back into the store to possibly exchange it. I went to the customer service desk, still undecided about which toy to get, but leaning toward an exchange.

As I reached the desk and began to speak to the employee about what I was thinking, a man and his wife approached and asked the same woman if a certain toy was in stock. The toy was a request from their son, who had just sent them the specific brand and model number on their smart phone. To my amazement, it was the exact same freestanding basketball hoop that I had just come back in to possibly purchase. Of all the toys in Toys R Us, this was the one they were seeking! The couple was pleasantly surprised when I was able to tell them that their item was indeed in stock, and in fact the only one left. I was even able to escort them to the section where it was, and sure enough it was exactly what they were looking for. They thanked me and left with their purchase.

To me this was an obvious confirmation that my original instincts had been right. My mind had started to talk me out of what my heart already knew, but Divine Spirit intervened and gave me an “awake dream,” an out of the ordinary experience that got my attention, through the couple who were looking for the same toy. Not only did this help me with my choice, the other family got served as well. They were able to find the right toy for their son, even receiving personal customer service in the process. It was clearly a win/win situation!

As if that wasn’t enough, and as the saying goes, “now for the rest of the story,” later on I was telling my girlfriend about my Toys R Us adventure, and she told me that unknown to me, she and her son already had an outdoor freestanding basketball hoop. In fact they had just taken it out of the garage the other day after a long winter and played in the early spring sunshine. She did not however, have one for indoors and said it would be perfect for inclement weather when he needed an outlet and couldn’t play outside. So the indoor wall-unit was indeed the perfect gift! I did not know this at the time, but the one who guides me knows everything.

Some people speak of the grand miracles that they may need, to offer them proof of God’s existence. But to me the miracles are in the myriad every day details of our lives that Spirit weaves itself into. To me that “weave” IS the miracle. God’s Love was woven into every step I took that day, as it is every day. We are all inextricably linked and connected to that love if we only open our eyes to see it. God loves us each personally, cares about what is important to us, and wants to bless us, from our greatest undertakings to the simplicity of finding a child’s toy.

God Knows My Heart’s Desire

God knows the prayers of our heart better than we do. Often it is only after God answers a prayer that we become more conscious of having it in the first place. To know we are loved and that we are heard is cause for great joy.

Recently I was at work and really missing my family. Even though they live thirty minutes away, we do not get to spend as much time together as I would like. On this particular day, I was really missing them. I never consciously made a prayer to God on the matter, but it was something that I was thinking about, and I felt it deeply in my heart.

Just a few hours later, I had a break between assignments at work. I felt a nudge from the Divine to go spend some time at a local department store. Low and behold my mom had just gotten off work and was shopping there as well! The timing of this was unbelievable, and there is no way it just happened by chance. I got to spend twenty minutes chatting and catching up with her before I had to get back work. This time with her was a huge blessing.

I am so grateful that God read what was in my heart and set up an opportunity to see my mom, time that I deeply treasure. The time with her was was exactly what I needed that day! I was incredibly happy to get to spend the time with my mom, but just as excited that God really did hear what was in my heart, and so quickly set up something that He knew would really bless me and make my day! God really does love us, and wants us to be happy!

Saved From Drowning

Many have experienced some form of Divine Intervention. A moment where God says, “not yet” and steps in to help us out of a jam. It might be easy for others to try and talk you out of it, but for those that have experienced it – you know what you know.

“Testimonies of God’s Love” has many incredible stories of people recognizing the Hand of God in their life.

When I was in college, friends and I went swimming in the Yuba River in California. We were diving off a train trestle and swimming to a sandbar about half way across the river. I was already tired when I dove in too deep. By the time I came up, the current had carried me much farther than I wanted. If I missed the sandbar, the far side was a long way off and the near side was too steep to climb out.

I swam with all I had. I realized I was not going to make it, I was exhausted.

As the current swept me past the sandbar, I saw a hand reach out for me. I grabbed it and was pulled to shore. I could barely crawl out of the water. Not long after, I looked up and saw a small willow bush, with a branch trailing in the water where I had seen the hand. I knew that God had saved my life.

God’s Love Has Always Been With Me

The Prophet can allow us to spiritually revisit and relive experiences from our past to gain a higher understanding. These sacred opportunities can be very healing. In the following example it helps the author realize one of the most important truths. She has always and will always be loved by God.

While at a retreat at the Nature Awareness School I had some time to be alone and to contemplate. I was lying on my stomach in the grass looking down at the grass, like I used to do as a child. My thoughts drifted back to my earliest memory of when I was a baby in my crib. It was in the morning and I was sitting up playing happily. I have remembered this early memory for over fifty years. However this time it was very different. I relived the experience and I was intensely aware of God’s Love all around me. It was very palatable. I felt loved, peace, and comfort. I was surrounded by love. My eyes were opened to what has been around me all of my life. God’s Love has always been with me and always will be.

After that experience I have been seeing God’s Love around me wherever I go. At home, at work, in town, and out in nature. I really truly know without a doubt that we are loved.

Later at that same retreat I remembered another childhood experience where I was older. In the memory I was lying in my bed at night during a thunderstorm. As a child I had always been afraid in the dark. That night, during a lightning flash, I saw a man standing in my room. Of course I was terrified. I screamed and my parents came in and turned on the light. Since then I came to recognize the man as the one who was the Prophet of God during that time. God always sends a Prophet to guide us and teach us and lead us back home to Him, not just two thousand years ago. I did not know that then, and fear kept me from knowing the beauty of the experience. During the next retreat, during a long HU, I had the opportunity to relive that experience I had as a child. This time I saw it while God’s Prophet of today was beside me and we watched the scene together. Love exuded from the man in my room, and all around me was filled with love, just like my experience in my crib. God’s Love and peace was all around me, but back then, I was too fearful to see it.

I am so grateful to now have the eyes to see the love that has always been with me. God has filled my heart with love and pushed out fear, vanity, anger, and other things that get in the way of knowing His Love.

Thank you Lord, for your love. Always.

God Rained Down His Light

During graduate school I believe that I was led by God to live with Dorothy, an elderly lady on a farm in Delaware. On June 12, 1993 while reading a book about time being an illusion, all of a sudden my ears were full of the sound of the ocean. I shook my head to try to dislodge what I thought was water from swimming in the ocean the day before. But the loud sound of ocean waves continued for what seemed like a very long time. When the sound stopped I heard Chipper the dog barking.

I went to the back door to see what was going on with Dorothy’s dog. As I peeked into her sitting room I saw Dorothy lying on the couch. I somehow knew I would need to perform CPR on her so I turned her from her side onto her back. When I turned her, her right eye opened and all this incredible light came pouring out of her eye. It was so beautiful. I also knew that I was witnessing something profound, and that what surrounded us was beyond this earthly world. I remember looking up toward the ceiling knowing that Dorothy, as Soul, was leaving. As this was happening the dog continued to bark. I believe the dog also knew that Dorothy was leaving us in the physical.

This experience stayed with me. It was not until two years later when I began attending classes at the Nature Awareness School that I learned what I had experienced and witnessed was the Light and Sound of God! There I’ve been blessed to experience the Light of God again and in many ways. During the second weeklong retreat I attended, I was sitting quietly in the woods and saw a bright white flash of light. It was as if someone had a huge camera flash bulb and took a photograph, but I knew otherwise. I also experienced, while lying down in my dark tent, points of light appearing as if the stars in the sky were on the ceiling above me. I have experienced the blue Light of God in my spiritual eye, which represents to me the presence of my spiritual guide.

Divine Spirit gently allowed me to see these gifts of the Light of God, all the while caressing, comforting, and strengthening me to accept more of God’s Love. The blue Light of God began to appear in my spiritual eye when my physical eyes were closed. This happened most when I sang HU. Sometimes God would make His Presence known to me and I could feel His Love and peace.

Now I attend retreats at the Nature Awareness School several times a year. During a recent class Del, the Prophet, led the group in a HU sing. As I sat with my eyes closed singing this love song to God, I heard the sound of rushing wind and then I heard rainfall. Outside it was physically calm with a clear and dry sky. Spiritually I saw all of us standing together and being showered upon with huge raindrops of light. This real spiritual experience was a profound gift and beyond beautiful! I was privileged to witness these Souls being graced with God’s abundant Love. Everyone in the group received the Divine gift with an openness of faith, love, trust, and humility.

Prayed for a Friend

Our prayers are answered when it is in the best spiritual interest of everyone involved. Sometimes it is not merely enough to ask of God. We must “listen” and act on guidance received to help God make our prayers a reality. We play an active part and the timing can be important.

My husband and I homeschool our children, and one winter I was concerned that our eldest son did not have enough social interactions with boys his age. His playmate who had been coming to my home daycare had transitioned to kindergarten at the public school. While our son had several friends who are girls, I was concerned that he was missing having boys his age to play and wrestle with. So I took my concern to God and prayed. I prayed not only for him to have a friend, but also for myself to like the mom, so that I could have a new friend as well.

We had been planning on giving our kids swim lessons at the local YMCA, but I felt guided to do it sooner than we originally had thought. So I listened to that inner guidance and signed the kids up for classes. At the first lesson I noticed a mom walk in with two boys. I felt kind of shy but talked with her a little and felt comfortable with her right away. After a few classes of sitting on the bleachers with our youngest boys squirming and playing together with trucks, I felt like she was the answer to my prayer. So I asked to exchange phone numbers and we have been friends now for several years.

The thing that touches me most from this experience is that the prayer was answered above and beyond what I had asked for with my limited vision. God had not only given my eldest son and me great friends with similar interests, He also knew that we both had younger children that would get along great too.

A few weeks ago I shared with my friend that she was an answer to my prayer, at which point she shared that she too had been praying for a friend for herself and her boys. God is great! He answers our prayers even better than we can imagine, all because He loves us.

Tea With the Prophet

The Prophet is always with me. Throughout the day, in everything I do, his loving presence is there to guide me. To consult with and to share all the ups and downs, interactions, and experiences that flow in and out of my life. Our relationship is sacred and it is the most precious gift ever.

Sometimes after a long bustling day, I like to sit and enjoy a hot cup of tea and just be quiet. Even though I know he is there, I don’t want to take his presence for granted, so I’ll consciously invite the Prophet to share a cup of tea with me. There is something beautiful and very special about sitting in silence with someone you love.

One frigid night this past winter as we sat having tea, listening to the crackling of the fire, I was feeling especially grateful for its warmth. I was also appreciating the gifts of health to cut the wood that was burning, a warm home, the kitty curled up on my lap, knowing who the Prophet is, and being able to share this time together. I began to sing HU. HU is a love song to God and in singing HU, I was expressing my love and saying “Thank you for all this abundance.”

The Prophet took me to a place in the inner spiritual worlds that is peaceful, calm, and very still. There was no time and no movement. It just was, and it was exquisite. It was like an oasis of tranquility. My whole being smiled and was filled with joy as I listened to the Sound of Divine Spirit, the sweet music of the Heavens. Its life-giving energy flowed through me. I rested there with the Prophet and was nourished and rejuvenated.

A unique ability God gives the Prophet is that he can be with someone on the inner and the outer; both are important to one’s spiritual growth. Whether conscious of it or not, we are never alone and never have been. But if we invite the Prophet into our heart and nurture that relationship, life will be blessed in ways beyond imagination and dreams can become reality. His love (that has always been there) can flow more freely; inspiring and uplifting us and every aspect of our life. Life lived with the Prophet makes ordinary things extra-ordinary and can turn a simple cup of tea into a sacred experience to savor and cherish.

Tractor Ride With Dad in Heaven

You need not wait until the end of your earthly life to see your loved ones again. The Prophet can bring you together to visit with them in Heaven now, even while you are still living. What a blessing and opportunity for healing these moments can be.

When I was growing up my family was very involved in our local church. I would go to Sunday school, regular service and other events that were held at the church. There was one particular time when I attended a funeral, it was my first time and I was about seven or eight years old. I noticed the family was very sad that a family member had passed away, and they felt that they would not see them again. The question I had in my heart at that time was will they ever see them again or only will they see them in Heaven? As a young boy I asked my mother was this true, will a family only see their loved ones after they die, only in Heaven? My mother said yes, that would be the only time they could see them again. I really felt sad for the family thinking they would never see this person again, only until they go to Heaven.

Many years passed since that day. As I grew older many of my family members passed on and I would think about them and miss them. I often wondered if I would see them again in Heaven. I attended a class at Nature Awareness School and I was told that dreams are real and dreams are one way that Divine Spirit talks to us. Del, a Prophet of God, taught us that dreams could be healing, and if we asked the Prophet, he could guide you in a dream.

Twenty years have passed since I first heard that dreams are real and you may be able to talk to or see a loved one that has passed in a dream. Since then both of my parents have passed on and I have seen them again in my dreams. The dreams that I have had with them have been healing and have soothed my heart. I have missed my parents and seeing them again and other loved ones in dreams have given me the opportunity to know that they are okay; it has been a blessing from God.

My dad loved to work outside either in the garden or ride the tractor mowing grass. I would sit next to him on his old Farmall tractor while he plowed the garden or mowed the grass; it was one of my favorite things to do as a kid. I had a dream with my father a couple years after he passed that was healing. In the dream he was driving a tractor and he drove up to me with a big smile on his face. No words were said but I could feel the love that was coming from him and I was so happy to see him. We took a ride around the yard a couple of times and he dropped me off where we started, I was so happy, I didn’t want it to end. This dream eased my heart and let me know that my dad was okay. I was able to see him again; he was wearing a white shirt with work pants and his favorite straw hat. I knew that he was okay and that he loved me, and he demonstrated that love by giving me a ride on the tractor in the dream.

Knowing that this dream was a blessing from God has given me peace with my fathers passing, and I am grateful. Knowing that I could see my loved ones again in a dream also gives me peace in my heart. How I wish that I could tell that family at the funeral when I was a young boy that they could also see their loved ones again in dreams if they asked the Prophet. I am grateful for this knowledge and to have experienced seeing my dad again. My question was answered; I could see my loved ones again. Thank you Prophet!

Five Minutes to Talk to the World

If you could talk to the whole world for five minutes what would you say? The “pearl” of your answer is knowing what is in your heart. Whether you get the chance or not to share it with the entire world, a single member of your family, a friend or co-worker, your life will be that much richer for knowing the answer.

Sometimes it can be difficult to determine what is “in your heart” versus what is simply coming from your mind. Our retreats and books will help you learn to know the difference.

I was once asked by my father, and spiritual teacher, an amazing question. If I could talk to the whole world for five minutes what would I say? Wow, what a question. Honestly, my first thought was that most people might not listen for five minutes so I better be succinct. The question, and imaginary opportunity, really stuck with me. In essence, the question really boils down to – what are the key truths that I have been blessed with on my spiritual journey that could possibly bless other souls. So here goes…

Please listen with your heart. Quiet your mind. Your “heart”, deep inside, already knows these truths, because God put them their when you were created from His Love. You are a child of God. You are loved beyond your wildest imagination. God wants to draw nigh (Close to you). Open yourself. Listen to the small still voice in your heart. You are Soul – an eternal spark of God. You were created with everything you will ever need. You will never be more divine than you are at this very moment – but you can be more aware of your Divinity. You can manifest your Divinity more in your daily life. How? Sing HU – a love song to God. Accept the hand being offered to you by God, specifically the Prophet’s hand. God loves you so much he sent a guide to walk you home. If your favorite Guide returns to the physical, then follow him. Until that time, God sent another to teach and comfort his children. If God trusts his Prophets then so can you. Your true home is in the heart of God. Your spiritual inheritance of wisdom, peace, clarity, joy, comfort, love, and so much more awaits you, while still living in the flesh. Allow God and his raised up Prophet to show you a view of life that you never consciously knew existed. Build a relationship with your guide on the inner and outer. Listen to the Divine guidance offered freely in dreams, awake dreams, inner communication, and nudges. Break free of the illusion that God no longer is active – that He did all his work, and then retired, long ago. Soar and experience the boundlessness and the everlasting love of God directly, while living a more abundant life here and NOW.

Do not think it is possible? I promise you it is. God has blessed me beyond what I could have ever imagined. I prayed to be led Home. I prayed to be shown truth. I prayed to experience Divine Love. I have taken the hands offered to me and walked through the threshold of the open door. Thank you for listening. Take a chance to walk in God’s Love, it will make this current life so full and special.

A Sound of God

The Light and Sound of God are the twin aspects of the Voice of, or the Word of God. Also known as the Holy Ghost, Divine Spirit, and countless other names. Most of the world is familiar with the idea of spiritual light. Spiritual sound is less well known. It is however just as important, if not more to the journey of Soul. The Light of God illuminates the path, but ultimately it is the sound we follow home to God.

Twenty years ago during my first class at the school, Del talked about how some students were starting to hear the spiritual sound of flute music. That one could actually hear spiritual sound, a sound beyond what one could hear with one’s physical ears, was amazing to me and beyond my frame of reference at the time. I had never heard or read anything about spiritual sound. I was blessed with an experience with the Light of God that same week, but the other aspect of the voice of the Divine, the Sound of God, remained a mystery amid a sea of uncharted waters for me.

A year later, right after a spiritual retreat at the school, one that opened my heart to accepting more Divine Love, including the truth that we are all eternal Souls, I awoke in the middle of the night to the sound of the most beautiful flute music coming out of the Heavens. This beautiful Divine Sound spoke right to me, as Soul, and filled me with a joy and inner peace of a sort that I had never known before in this lifetime. It was truly God speaking to me, letting me know that I am loved.

Two years later when my heart was heavy from a relationship that had come to an end, and I was alone in nature trying to find some peace, I heard the flute music again. This time it went on for several days. I would not hear it every moment, but whenever I made the effort to listen, there it was, the most beautiful music of God, giving me peace in my heart and filling me with an unspeakable joy. I felt such gratitude for the classes at the Nature Awareness School that had opened me up spiritually so that I could hear the sound. I was far away from all family and friends but I was not alone, as I experienced the loving presence of the Voice of God through the beautiful sound. This presence has been with me from the beginning; only now I had the “ears” with which to hear it speak to me. The Nature Awareness School has been the most profound of blessings in my life, for the teachings within its classes are eternal ones that have provided me with the skills needed to tune into Divine Spirit and hear God’s Voice.

Wedding Wishes

What a joy when God brings two Souls together, in true love, to journey through life together. To experience the joys and sadness of life in the physical, all the while each hopefully growing in their capacity to love. Their capacity to love each other and even more importantly, God. When two Souls come into a marriage, each partner putting their relationship with God first, it will be most blessed and a sacred union.

Each and everyone of us have the opportunity to grow in our relationship with God – no matter how good it already is. There is always more! Inspire yourself for spiritual growth by reading theses incredible testimonies.

Our oldest daughter was to be wed at the end of May. She asked me if I could pick our peony flowers for the dinner tables since they are her favorite flower. I said I didn’t know – they bloom in May but it would depend on the weather that winter and in spring as to when they’d peak and when they’d be finished. If it was a very cold winter the only flowers would be the late peonies and they typically don’t last as long as cut flowers. I really wanted to help with these flowers but there was only so much I could do.

I communicated with the Prophet inwardly about this over a period of several weeks. One day out of the blue I had a nudge to look up something on the internet on how to make peonies last for a wedding. What I found was incredulous to me. The peony flowers could be cut when they are buds at just one to one and a half inches in diameter, ends wrapped in some plastic wrap with a rubber band around it, then wrapped dry in newspaper and taped shut. Put in a refrigerator, they could last for two to three weeks! Then they can be placed in water and in a matter of hours open up. I thanked my Divine guide for allowing me to find this. I never would have thought anything like this was possible and would not have looked this up had I not received a nudge from the Prophet.

I began to cut the buds early in May. I wasn’t sure if the buds were too small, too big, too closed, or too open. I went out twice, sometimes three times a day for two weeks, with my spiritual guide and we looked at the buds, deciding when to cut the flower stalks. It was a joy to do this with the Prophet and do it with love. A few days before the wedding we put the dormant dry flower stalks in water. They all opened, every one of them, bigger and fresher than if they had been cut as opened flowers or nearly opened flowers. I thanked the Prophet for these beautiful flowers for my daughter’s wedding and for the time we spent together gathering the buds. It was fun! There were over two hundred and seventy-five flowers, all strong, fresh, and colorful. They lasted like that much longer than any peonies I had ever cut.

I truly know the Prophet was actively involved in my daughter and son-in-law’s wedding because I invited Him in. I prayed that all that attended the wedding would be blessed personally by God in some way. Though I didn’t pray for good weather, it was a beautiful, perfect weekend from Thursday thru Monday, covering all the events. From the feedback I got from many guests, they felt blessed too.
