The hardships and loss we might experience while here on Earth can sometimes be our greatest teaching opportunities. They propel us to seek answers to life’s questions or to draw closer to God for comfort and understanding. This growth in wisdom and love are ours to keep way beyond a single lifetime.

JUNE 8TH ONE DAY RETREAT  “What is Spiritual Success?” DETAILS HERE

Over twenty years ago my “new best friend” Fran stepped up to the plate to be my maid of honor at my upcoming wedding. Fran was the kind of light filled Soul you just were drawn to and wanted to be around. She always had a positive outlook on life and shared everything with you. Her generosity and thoughtfulness of friendship and time was always so evident. She agreed without hesitation to be my maid of honor and said we would have fun together planning my wedding. I was so thrilled to have a friend like Fran; nothing deterred her from her loving task to assist me. About four months before my wedding Fran told me she was a breast cancer survivor and that she was presently in remission. It was no wonder she had such exuberance for life and thanked God all the time for this second chance at living it so fully.

Our plans together took shape over the months as we became close friends. I loved that she shared deep spiritual thoughts with me. We had discussions about her views concerning death. She told me she had taken care of her mother who died of cancer a few years earlier, and then ignored her own medical checkups after finding out she also had cancer.

It was two weeks before my wedding and I noticed Fran didn’t have the liveliness and energy she used to have. Fran confided that her cancer had metastasized. True to form, she swore she would be fine for the wedding and nothing would come between this happy day and her! True to her word, it was amazing to see how well she kept everything organized and on track, helping me with every detail. Fran thrived when she didn’t dwell on the medical concerns ahead of her. She looked absolutely radiant as my maid of honor and was so excited to wear a favorite dress that belonged to her mother.

Fran shared with me her many thoughts about life and what happens after we die. As her radiation and chemotherapy treatments progressed she said no matter what the outcome, she was fine as she had peace in her heart. She shared that her life had been worthwhile. She seemed to have an inner knowing that we are just passing through this life wearing these “earth suits,” and the real world was where ever God is and she was going there. She had a very rare acceptance of death and never expressed any fear. I admired this beautiful quality about her and learned much during our short friendship.

Nine months after the wedding had passed, I went to visit Fran at her father’s home. The treatments had stopped working and she was terminal. It was a beautiful May day and she asked me to take her outside in her wheelchair so she could feel the sun on her face and smell the freshness of spring. She was stunningly lovely and happy in this moment. She shared that she didn’t think the end would come this soon. Eight days later she passed peacefully away at home. That beautiful Soul left her pain filled body to soar home to God.

As her illness progressed, Fran had planned her funeral as a happy remembrance of her time with all of us. She even had the countenance to have a significant song played for all of her friends at her funeral. It was called “Forever Young,” and it carried a message for all of us to remember her by, and take to heart.

Some months had elapsed after Fran’s passing. My route home from work took me past the cemetery where Fran was buried. I thought of her often when I came to this part of my drive. One day I was thinking of her with much love and gratitude for all the many things I had learned from her. Just as I came upon the cemetery the song “Forever Young” came on the radio! I was so overwhelmed with love I had to pull the car over as the tears flowed. The Divine had heard the prayers in my heart as the loving memories flooded so dearly through me. What a precious gift! I know now this was an awake dream, a daytime spiritual experience. I shared my experience with my husband and he exclaimed the same experience had happened to him as he drove by the cemetery! We expressed how grateful we both were at this extraordinary gift!

There are times I’ve asked my inner guide and spiritual teacher Del, a Prophet of God, if I can see Fran in a dream and I’ve had various nighttime dreams with her. We are just hanging out being friends. Fran always appeared much younger, quite lovely, and as vital as ever. In one particular dream she was helping me with a relationship that had ended painfully for me. In the dream I was sitting on a couch with several other people watching a television show. The person who ended the relationship was lying across our laps. He was very heavy and I told Fran how angry I was. She and the other people looked at me questionably. I was struggling to get out from under his weight all the while talking to Fran. During our talk her loving demeanor helped change my attitude from one of hurt and anger to happy, positive, and free from the negative emotions I was holding. I had become free from all those negative emotions. A heavy weight had been lifted from me. I miss Fran dearly to this day but will always be grateful to have shared this lifetime with her.

One Day I walked into the kitchen where my mother was standing and said, “I want to go home.” She shook her head, confused. “What do you mean? You are home.” I repeated my solemn statement. “I want to go home.” I didn’t know what I meant any more than she did. All I knew was that the feeling had returned and was growing stronger — the feeling of emptiness, longing, and hunger. Something was calling to me. And the only words I could find to describe it were, I want to go Home.”

HU song, Journey of Life, Service, Trust, Tune in

Each of us is Soul, a Divine child of God, that can be used by Spirit as a blessing to others. To allow the “Word” to flow through us, it is best to be “tuned in.” Singing  God’s Holy name, HU, with love in our hearts is one of the best ways to do this. There is no greater joy than allowing the Holy Spirit to work through us to bless another.

two_paths_through_the_tangled_japanese_forest-wallpaper-1920x1080

After I received a job transfer I met one of my new coworkers named Sandy. I found out Sandy was quitting her job at the end of the week because management would not let her change her schedule so she could pick up her daughter from school. She was very helpful getting me acclimated to my new surroundings, and I was a little bummed out she was leaving. On Friday several employees planned a party for Sandy to wish her well in the new life she was about to embark on. Friday morning before work I tuned in to the Divine by singing HU, a love song to God, and also declared myself a clear channel so I could be ready to assist the Prophet in sending God’s Love to wherever it’s needed. Little did I know that God had a special blessing for Sandy. I was about to be called into service as a coworker with Prophet to help pass on his blessings.

About nine o’clock all the employees were called over to the banquet tables that were set up with lots of food and drink in honor of Sandy’s last day at work. As I made my way over to get some food I found my feet wanted to go in a different direction. Sandy was a couple tables away from me, and I soon realized I was being pulled as if by a “tractor beam” towards her. It became clearer as I got closer to Sandy because Divine Spirit was downloading words into my heart to share with her. So while she was getting something to drink I stepped up next to her and said, “It takes a lot of guts to do what you are doing and most people wouldn’t quit their job.” The next thing Divine Spirit gave me to say was, “This is kind of how the Holy Spirit works, you close one door and another door opens, so don’t worry, everything is going to work out.” Sandy looked at me with her eyes about as wide open as they could get, which told me she knew the words I had just spoken were not from me but from God. Only God could know what she needed at that moment as she was about to give up her livelihood.

Now for the rest of the story. Shortly after she left, Sandy was hired at a similar position in a different office where they had no problem working with her schedule. Sandy’s story can teach us to trust in God and His current Prophet who can help us navigate through life’s changes even if we are not aware of His presence. Del, my spiritual teacher at the Nature Awareness School, is God’s Prophet of the times who is here to help all Souls and has personally helped me through many of my life’s changes.

If you desire to be more aware of how the Divine works in your life sing HU several times throughout the day to tune in to the Divine. As your awareness of the Divine Hand of God increases, so will your joy in life. Especially when going through uncertain times like Sandy, you will know God has got your back. This happy ending brings to mind the Bible scripture: “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?” Matthew 6:26 KJV

Visit to Grandma’s House

This is a wonderful and touching story about a spiritual visit to Grandma’s house. The author’s grandmother is ill and desires to move on and go to Heaven. This spiritual experience afforded the author an opportunity to visit and shower love on her grandmother.

cinnamon bun

When I think of her the first thing I see is her smile with a long bright row of straight beautiful teeth. She speaks her mind and lets the chips fall. She loves baseball, card games, and romance novels. She is a caretaker. At forty-six she had the last of five children. Give her a cigarette, a cinnamon bun, a cup of coffee, and she is in Heaven.

This wonderful woman is my grandma. At eighty-nine years old she has always weathered illness and bounced right back. Recently she was not feeling well and was talking about moving on from this life. She has been dreaming of fields of orchids. I have seen these fields too while visiting the Heavenly Worlds and I am certain that God is preparing her for the next adventure.

She lives in another state twelve hours away, but on March 15, 2015 the Prophet read my heart and I found myself standing in the center of her familiar kitchen while my body sat here in Virginia. I was attending a class at the Nature Awareness School and we had just finished singing HU. My heart was filled with love. I sat in the quiet time afterwards listening for communication from God. My awareness drifted to my grandmother and in an instant the Prophet took me to her. I had many experiences at once, like a movie playing out, but better because I was not just seeing. I was there in the present time and also re-living some of my most fond visits with my grandma.

The first thing I saw was her coffee pot and I could taste the salty coffee. We had a lot of laughs about this over the years. She had to soften her country water with salt. Then I saw the cookie jar that was almost always filled with homemade cookies. I felt my hand run along the orange counter tops. I could feel the wind blowing over the cornfields and through the screen door in the dining room. I smelled the light scent of manure from the farm down the road. I felt the quiet openness of the property and in the living room I saw my grandpa watching westerns in his recliner.

I felt my face pressed against the brown shag carpet as a teenager on a particularity long holiday visit. Then I was a child again staying up late playing cards with grandma as she smoked cigarettes and told stories. I saw her making homemade noodles and a piece of ravioli being tossed into boiling water. Then I saw her sitting at the kitchen table. The Prophet stood behind her smiling. I cupped her face in my hands and said, “I love you, Grandma.” Then I was clapping for her. “Bravo!” I kept repeating. My heart swelled as I congratulated my grandma on a life well lived.

It means everything to know that my grandma is in the care of the Prophet and that while her body is going through a rough time she is perfectly fine. I also got to love on her and appreciate all the beautiful ways she has touched my life. This was so much more than remembering. God allowed me to re-live these precious moments in time. Sometimes the “little things” that make up my daily life seem like they will happen forever, but nothing stays the same for long. These moments once passed become the “good times” of life.

Thank you God, for reading my heart and taking me to see my grandma once again. Thank you for giving me peace to know that she is in your loving care. When I call her she is confused and does not want to talk for long. It means so much that we were able to communicate Soul to Soul and I could tell her how I really feel before she passes.

Skills to Cope With Depression

We all face challenges in life, which are ultimately opportunities for growth. During these times we can actually forge a deeper relationship and appreciation for God. One key is to not lose sight of the Hand of God that is available. Those that ask God for help and also do their part will ultimately come out stronger, versus just “make it through.”

What is TRUE happiness? Find out HERE.   It’s not what you might think…

kayaking_2-wallpaper-1280x1024

About two years ago my life changed. Everyone goes through changes, but this was one of those major turning points for me. I had recently moved with my husband and two young children to a town where we did not know anyone. The move required that I leave a job I really liked and enjoyed. Then we had our third child. To me this was a whole lot of change in a very short period of time.

I thought I had prepared for these changes. I am not complaining, I have a very good and happy life. I knew all these changes were blessings, but I was struggling. I was experiencing some level of baby blues or postpartum depression, and all the changes added to how I was feeling. This concerned me because I knew depression. I had been depressed at earlier times in my life and did not want to go there again.

Between my personal history and experience from my previous job I had some tools and skills to manage this issue. In the past I did my best to just “make it through” those tough times, but this time was different because I knew that the Hand of God was working in my life. I have been blessed to experience God’s Love in so many ways. Over the years I have built a loving and trusting relationship with God’s Prophet, the Hand of God. So when I recognized my situation I now knew how to more than just “make it through.” This time I knew I had help available. I asked for help and accepted that help. I listened and followed the Divine guidance given to me with love and compassion. I knew his comfort. I knew that even in the moments when I felt alone that I am never alone. The Prophet is with me every moment. He helped me have the strength to do my part; to wisely use the tools and skills I had been taught in the past, and to truly know I could do it with him. So this time my experience with depression really was different and I am forever grateful.

I kept praying for help and continued attending classes at the Nature Awareness School. That is where I originally learned about God’s Prophet and the importance of our relationship. Everything continued to build toward a good outcome. The inner guide, inner Prophet, and I spent time in scripture, reading spiritual books, putting love into everything that we did throughout the day, and being grateful. Together we sang HU with and to my baby even in those tired, weary, early weeks and so much more. I paid attention to my dreams and used those late night feedings awake with the baby as an opportunity to write them down and say, “Thank you.” The Prophet nudged me to speak up for myself and take care of myself. He encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and join activities and social groups where I met wonderful, welcoming people in the community.

God responded by guiding and helping me daily. Life was enjoyable and not a struggle. I had faith in Him and in turn He helped me have faith in myself to keep going forward. I came out better than ever and feel I have a stronger and deeper relationship with the Prophet than I even had before. My life was good, but now I was appreciating it more. My sacred relationship with the Prophet makes my life abundant and it is continually growing.

Instead of spiraling down and retreating into depression like I had in the past, I stepped out, survived, and then thrived with my focus on God’s Love. Things were not distorted as they had been before in that same space and frame of mind because the Prophet helped me to see clearly from a higher view, as Soul. That higher view helped me to appreciate the gifts of God that were everywhere around me. My heart was open and filled with love, which gave me the opportunity to enjoy loving and caring for my family again. I allowed love in, so I could give it out to others, and was shown a deeper understanding of giving and receiving love. I am very thankful for the blessing to walk with the Prophet daily and to give and receive God’s Love. It has changed my life.

A Living Teacher

Singing HU tunes you in with Spirit. When sung properly it is a source of spiritual food for Soul by “raising you up” and “opening you up” to more directly experience the Kingdom of Heaven. The HU song is one of the greatest gifts God has given to Soul. Having a living teacher who can offer correction to help keep us on course is an even greater gift.

forest_trees_autumn-wallpaper-1024x768

I earnestly tried on my own to know God in my life. I wanted to recognize His Presence and live a happy life. Into my early twenties I was an avid seeker. I tried different paths, meditation techniques, yoga, Sufi dancing – almost anything to quench the thirst I had inside for Spirit and for true peace. Yet all I found were dead-ends. An answer to a prayer led me to Del Hall and the Nature Awareness School. This is where I learned the importance of having a living teacher who fluently communicates with God and can teach me to recognize and understand my own communication with God.

It is a tremendous gift of love from God to have a living teacher and guide to show us the ways of the Divine. One reason that I have found this to be invaluable is for the correction we can receive from him. I experienced the importance of this first hand after having been a student of Del’s for over twelve years.

I was using the tools and teachings Del had given me when I went through a time of hardship. I received an inner nudge from the Prophet to focus more on gratitude before singing HU to open my heart in appreciation. I followed his guidance and did this at home. Soon after, I attended a weeklong class at the Nature Awareness School. Being a smaller, more intimate class, it was a chance to have more individual attention and focus more on the details of our journey.

HU is a beautiful love song to God, a vibration and prayer that can uplift us when we are afraid or need clarity. It is a cornerstone of the Prophet’s teachings and I love to sing it throughout my day. It acts as a tuning fork that brings one into alignment with the Holy Spirit, but that winter my pitch was off. Instead of singing a pure HU, I was warbling. The effect was that I was not getting the spiritual nourishment nor upliftment that singing HU can bless us with. Even the best instrument needs to be tuned regularly or it will be off.

In class Del pointed out that I needed to slow down and really sing love to God to be precise, not only in the tone, pitch, and volume with which I sang HU, but also in Its pronunciation. Without Del’s seemingly minor correction, I would have gone on using this beautiful tool at home, but would not have had any lasting benefit in my daily life. I would have remained spiritually undernourished. This adjustment brought a real transformation in my quality time with the Divine. And as a result, my life began to transform.

Del once used an analogy of a ship crossing the ocean. A small error in direction would not affect a short journey, but for a longer journey a little misdirection means you end up on the wrong continent. There is a profound blessing in receiving correction from a living Prophet, precisely for this reason as we journey home to God. As a living student, we need a living teacher. One true blessing of having a relationship with the Prophet of our times is that he can give correction and guidance on the inner and on the outer as a teacher.

As it says in Proverbs, the Lord corrects those He loves. As an agent for God the Prophet gives truth, love, and guidance as well as correction to his students. At times the correction is in the gentlest manner and at other times it is more direct. But when the truth is accepted by the student, myself included, and the changes implemented into our lives – we see the fruits of the Spirit. Life is better when following the guidance of the Divine. Correction and pruning is part of an abundant life and our growth as Soul. Having a living teacher is a gift that I treasure to this day. His loving correction has truly helped me on my journey home to the Heart of God.

My Grandfather and the HU

The love we have for other Souls carries on beyond the end of this physical life. What a joy to know we will see them again and the love between us will still be there. In the following story a loved one, who had passed on years before, returns to comfort his grandson just when he needed it.

compass-wallpaper-1152x864

My grandfather was my role model growing up. He was extremely influential during my adolescent years. What may have strengthened our bond greater was that I was afforded the opportunity to share a special day once a year with him. I was born on July 7, a date that was significant to my grandfather as well, as he was also born on July 7.

During my middle school years my grandfather got sick. Even through his illness he attended all of my high school football and basketball games, and made it to many of my baseball games. He maintained his positive attitude through the chemotherapy; a fight that he ultimately lost to cancer during my high school years. My grandfather was a pastor, a husband, a father to three, and a very loving grandfather to seven, and I miss him dearly.

Years after my grandfather left this world I met the love of my life on July 10, 2012, three days after our shared birthday. I believe the two of us met by the Grace of God; her name is Michelle. As our relationship evolved, Michelle gradually introduced me to one of the greatest gifts that could ever be bestowed to another, the HU, a love song to God. I can still remember like it was yesterday, the first time I came to the Nature Awareness School with Michelle and her family in August 2013. The act of singing HU was explained to me beforehand, but I had never sang out loud, rather I would sit and silently sing on the inner. When the large group of approximately fifty or so people began to sing I sang quietly and hesitantly at first. At that moment, I saw my grandfather; he was in a suit and possessed that familiar smile. He approached from the back of the room and put his hand on my right shoulder. I could feel his love and he told me, “It’s okay.” A sense of love rushed over me, far greater than I could ever fathom nor be able to put into words. It was such a joy to see my grandfather and I know his appearance that day was a blessing from God.

Since August 2013 I have gone to a couple of classes at the Nature Awareness School and have gotten more comfortable with both the HU and my spiritual journey. My spiritual journey has become one of increasing clarity and peace. Sharing a birthday with my grandfather was a blessing, but in August I also get to share another significant date with him. Unbeknownst to me, the date Michelle and I decided to marry was the same date as my grandfather’s anniversary to the marriage of my grandmother, August 15.

God sees and knows all – all that has passed and all that will come to be. He seeks to share some of this vision with His children when there is an opportunity to bless us. The key is learning how to recognize and follow those gentle whisperings – those nudges or seemingly random thoughts for what they are. They are gifts of love in the form of guidance.

Our books will help you to recognize the many ways God expresses His Love to you daily. You may preview them HERE.

japanese_bridge-wallpaper-1280x768

I remember exactly where I was sitting when it happened. The idea came gently, as if carried by a soft breeze through an open window. I could go visit my mother. A seemingly random idea, but I wanted to consider it. You see I have learned from the Prophet that when I place attention on gentle nudges like this I may be able to appreciate something more. Something I had not been aware of. It could be a loving nudge from the Holy Spirit to help me have a much more abundant life.

My mother had been sick for a long time. She was in her eighties now and her kidneys were failing. Her condition was stable. Nothing had changed as far as we knew. I had just visited only weeks ago. I live in Virginia and my mother lived with my younger brother and sister over nine hundred miles away in Florida. It really did not make sense to go now. About six months ago she had been discharged from the hospital to home hospice care. I had been able to be there. It was a bittersweet time. My brother, her real primary caregiver for years, and my sister and I were there as the nurse explained things and did a brief exam. Our mother was frightened and confused and we all just wanted to help her. The nurse’s name was Maria and we liked her right away. She was right out of “central casting,” except she was not acting. She really cared. You could see it in everything she did.

I would like to share with you just one of the amazing blessings that were given in this. Maria had a beautiful Spanish accent and my mother just happened to love the Spanish language. I think this connected her to a very happy time in her life. A long time ago she was a bright college student working on a master’s degree in the Spanish language. Mom was to have several different nurses take care of her over the next months. It turned out that Maria was the one who admitted new patients, not one of the nurses assigned to regular care. It seemed unfortunate at the time, but it turned out to be very fortunate indeed.

So, back to the idea of a visit. The gentle nudge or thought was to come again over the next few days before I suggested the idea to my husband. My mother really loved my husband and she had not seen him for a while. We could have a nice visit. We could fly to Tampa, rent a car, and drive the rest of the way. This would take us over a really long, high, bridge that spans Tampa Bay that I had seen on a previous visit, that I thought my husband would enjoy. We decided to go. There just happened to be a great inexpensive charter flight available with the perfect departure and arrival times. We got in late on a Friday. My brother had told us right before we left that everything was stable with mom. He then greeted us with the news that our mother had stopped eating and was becoming unresponsive.

She did not seem to be with us much that first evening, and she had not spoken except for a few words. But as we started to say goodnight, all of a sudden in a strong clear voice she said, “I love you all.” This was a pretty stunning gift for all of us, but I thought it may have been an especially beautiful gift for my brother. Maybe a thank you for his long devotion and care.

Many amazing things continued to happen over the next few days. We were able to arrange for everything that would be needed to care for her and everyone, as the time of our mother’s passing grew near. Everything just seemed to fall into place. It was as if we were being gently guided by God’s Love. And that is what was happening. We called hospice to come check her and check us to make sure we were able to care for all her needs. Her regular nurse was on vacation and so you may have guessed, Maria came. She lovingly examined our mother and said that she seemed exceptionally peaceful. We asked if she might be better cared for in an actual hospice. Maria said that if she was someone in her own family she would not move her. She would keep her right there.

Our mother peacefully passed on a few days later. We needed to call hospice and let them know and then they would send her nurse. Her nurse was still on vacation, so Maria came. She checked our mother and then we all sat and talked, and cried, and were just generally very grateful for how blessed we had all been. But the blessings did not stop there. There was the calling of family and friends. It was amazing to see the solace that was given back and forth. We had one sister and our niece in Puerto Rico and our older brother in California. Everyone was able to come. We were all able to be together.

Everything just worked out, down to the flowers, and the food, and the pictures, to who just happened to sit near each other to say something, or be able to touch someone at just the right time. Everything worked out beautifully. It was way beyond anything we could have done. It all was an example of what a loving God does. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you that months earlier I had prayed and asked the Prophet that if I could be of help, could I please be there at her passing. It all turned out in the end like it always does, if we have the eyes to see. This may sound too good to be true. It’s not. It’s what God, the Holy Spirit, and the Prophet do for us, usually unnoticed.

This is but a glimpse of some of the abundance that God brings into your life through your relationship with His Prophet. I hope you may take time to consider what more there may be for you. His hand is out, will you take it?

It is such a blessing when the Prophet raises us up spiritually so we may see things clearly as they really are. He can show us the truth about ourselves, our loved ones, and others in our life. We can then have more compassion and tolerance, thereby allowing us to love more freely. The truth truly does set us free.

When you are ready for even more truth in your life READ THESE.

sweet_kittens-wallpaper-1920x1080

One evening while attending a retreat at the Nature Awareness School, we sang HU as a group. Singing HU is a pure prayer to God. Our intent while singing this HU was to send love to bless others. Often when we stop thinking of ourselves and instead think of someone else, we end up being blessed many times over. This is exactly what happened!

While I was singing HU, I saw myself as Soul. I was a beautiful, golden sphere of light. I was in a car wash with the Light of God raining down on me. God’s Light was enveloping me in pink, orange, and blue light as it cleansed me. Next, I was cleansed and filled up with golden light. The color pink represents emotions and I felt that I was given the gift of an emotional healing, even though I was not yet clear on what it was. Gold light represents God’s Love for me. After I was healed, I was then filled with God’s pure Love.

Next during this experience Del, my teacher, said that someone else could get in the spiritual shower with us. I saw my grandmother with me, and then we were both surrounded by white light. During this experience, my grandmother looked so free, weightless, and excited in a childlike way. Her face was relaxed and lit up with happiness. In the physical, my grandmother can be grumpy and difficult to get along with at times. During this experience, I was able to witness Grandma as her true self, Soul. I was grateful to see this more real side of my grandmother instead of the rough exterior I see sometimes in the physical.

When I shared this experience in class it was pointed out to me that maybe my grandmother has a rough exterior to cover up fear, pain, and loneliness deep down. My grandmother was married two times and both of her husbands died of cancer. Grandma definitely misses them and I know she is lonely. Del pointed out many feelings that my grandmother may be experiencing that could cause her to not be the most pleasant person to be around. I had not considered this side before. This experience by the Grace of God has shown me a new way to view my grandmother. Instead of seeing just the outer, I have more clarity and empathy towards her. This has freed me from my own judgments and I am able to love Grandma more freely and on a deeper level.

This experience has shown me a different way to see my grandmother, but also that other people I come across in life may be going through difficult times which could cause them to act more prickly towards others. After this experience, I have been able to change my perspective and attitudes towards a few people in my life, as well as strangers I come across in stores, on the phone, at work, etc. I found that by not judging people based on their surface waves I am more free to treat them how I would like for them to treat me. It is easier to give solace and have compassion for others when I see them as Soul. Not only is this a gift for others, but it also allows me to live more freely.

Thank you Prophet for this valuable experience.

Daily Spiritual Bread

You do not “have” a soul – you ARE Soul….. you “have” a body. A subtle but monumentally different perspective and understanding. You are a spiritual being cloaked in a temporal “earth suit” which has an expiration date – so to say. But the real you, Soul, will carry on. You are Eternal.

daily bread

God has given you the power and free will to create a life of your choosing. A life sculpted daily by your choices and attitudes. How and what you think truly makes a difference. I cannot stress this enough – your present thoughts will manifest into future conditions. Everything in your consciousness is bound to come forth in your outer life. Those folks who have a positive outlook on life and try to always see the “silver lining” will indeed see it, if not help manifest it. A positive attitude will help to create a positive result, and the choice of how you wish to view the world is for no one else but you. You will reap what you sow – your actions, thoughts, and attitudes have power – sow gently, kindly, and wisely.

The freedom to think, dream, and create a life of your hearts desire does not mean you are alone. You most certainly are not. God’s Prophet is spiritually available to offer help at every step of the way – but ultimately you must walk your own path. If not you, who shall? If there is something in your life that is not working you have the ability to change it. There is a great responsibility and great freedom in this. Unfortunately, many seek to lay this blessing of freedom at the feet of others. Too many wish for others to tell them how to live versus following their own heart. Countless numbers who sacrifice personal freedom, their birthright as Soul, for comfort and a false security.

You are responsible for your own path and this includes asking for help. It might sound like double talk to some but asking for help and taking personal responsibility for your path are not opposites. The spiritually strong ask for help. They know the true strength is in “the team” …them and the Divine. There is nothing you cannot do if God is with you and you do your part. Granted – God does the “heavy lifting” but you are certainly not helpless.

One of the most important things you can do is to stay nourished by making time for your daily bread – your lifeline. Consistent spiritual nourishment is key to being able to hear those gentle whisperings from Spirit, which lead to an abundant life.

If you wish to stay spiritually nourished you must find time to connect with the Divine every day. Just as your physical body needs good healthy food to stay fit – so do you as a spiritual being, Soul. Your daily bread is your lifeline. Whether it be prayer, the reading of Scripture, focusing on something you are grateful for, connecting with your spiritual guide in contemplation, or the singing of God’s holy name, HU, you need spiritual food. Watch what happens if you don’t water a plant, or if you stop eating physical food. It’s no different spiritually – you will wither. Yes, you may still be breathing but are you truly alive? Do you have abundant life?

Life will always try to find a way to take your attention elsewhere so it is up to you, if it is in your heart, to stay connected. You can chisel out time in your day if it is important to you. Is it too much to ask for the Kingdom of Heaven here and now – a few moments a day to tune in?

Food for thought….

HERE is a great source of Daily Bread.

God uses His Light as a major way to deliver blessings to Soul. The light may come to us in the dream state, during prayer, or contemplation, while spiritually traveling, or in the following example, in the waking state. The more we are blessed to experience the Light of God, the more conditioned we become to accepting the blessings contained within the light. One of which, is comforting us through lifting sadness from our heart.

field_road_2-wallpaper-1280x1024

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork.” Psalm 19:1 KJV

In the fall of 1997 I was driving the fifty-minute commute to my new job. As I did each morning, I sang HU the entire way into the city. Not an innate morning person, I appreciated the peaceful time to express my love directly to God. It was a time of great change in my life. It was one of those transitional periods where a relationship, job, and living arrangements all had recently ended. Everything was wide open, new, and uncertain. It was an amazing opportunity to put more of my trust and focus from the changing temporal world and onto the solid foundation of the Divine.

My experiences at the Nature Awareness School had blessed me with seeing the Light of God many times. At the school in the presence of my spiritual teacher, Del Hall, I experienced this light many times. Flashes of pink, bursts of blues and orange, beams of white and gold. As my spiritual strength and endurance developed under his guidance, so did the length, clarity, and intensity of the light I experienced.

The common thread at this time was that my experiences with the Light of God all occurred at the Nature Awareness School in the presence of Del. Though I spent several weekends a year there, most of the year was lived off the mountain. And that life was surely in need of the Light of God! It is impractical for the Prophet to be with you physically everywhere. But spiritually you can be aware of his presence throughout your day and in doing so, invest in your relationship with God through one of His living Prophets, whom He always blesses us with here on Earth.

So that morning as I drove into the city I experienced a mixture of sadness and hope, wondering about my place in God’s great creation. Where was I heading? I wondered. What was God’s plan for me, and for my life? The morning sky was slowly transitioning from dark to light – a metaphor for my life the two years I had been coming to the school. The sun was just waking, the colors of the day beginning to stir.

Suddenly the sky filled with the purest blue light. It was not an everyday, afternoon blue sky. It was startling. It stretched like blue fire from horizon to horizon. It surrounded me in a bubble of grace and warmth. I had seen the sky fill with supernatural blue light once before on a farm – years before I started coming to the school. That was also during a time of great transition. It tugged at my heart then as it did now, but I had not been conditioned to accept the amount of love present in the light. It had opened my heart and soothed me, but I did not recognize the holy Presence of God and the unconditional love that was there for me.

Fortunately the road I was on was a highway, a straight road with few cars at this time and no traffic lights. I continued to HU. The sky again filled with blue. I recognized this as the Prophet’s presence. Though not limited to it, the color blue is often the spiritual calling card of the Prophet of the times. As the sky filled I felt my heart fill with God’s Love. Yes, I was going through changes in my life, and maybe a few hardships, but I was not abandoned. I felt my sadness lift, replaced by a certainty that I would not take a single step alone. The Prophet, visible or not, would accompany me every step of the way, both at the school and off the mountain.

From the beginning Del, the Prophet, has inspired me to take the love and light that I experienced every time I set foot on the property and bring it with me into my daily life. Singing HU and appreciating the Hand of the Divine that touches my life on a daily basis has helped me draw nigh to God and deepen my awareness of that sacred, unbreakable connection. There is stability and love in my life now that I did not even dream of then.

That day God declared His Heavenly Love for me. The sky full of spiritual light was a Divine gift that brought a profound healing. Fears and doubts fell away, replaced by a confidence that I could experience the Prophet in all areas of my life and not just when I was at class. To walk in the Love of God is immensely personal and a direct reflection of one’s relationship with the Divine. My relationship with the Prophet has grown over the last twenty years. It has enhanced all my other relationships and delivered me to the very abode of my Creator.

How grateful I am that God never abandons His children. He provides healing, clarity, protection, and a Prophet here in the physical to teach us, guide us, and walk with us all the way back to the Heart of God. Thank you Del, for guiding me on this sacred journey.

The pearl of this testimony is the blessing of having the Prophet as your spiritual guide. He is capable of teaching you here in the physical and meeting with you in the dream worlds. Having a spiritual teacher of this magnitude as you journey through life and home to God is a profound blessing.

Read stories about how others have been blessed by this sacred connection.

spruces_on_mountain_sunset-wallpaper-1280x1024

Ten years ago when I found out that I was pregnant with my second child I felt very worried, anxious, and concerned because I had had a second mammogram before realizing I was pregnant. I was consumed with fear and worry not knowing if there would potentially be any harmful effects.

While experiencing these extreme emotions, I had a dream on 8/29/04, where Del, my Spiritual Guide came to me. He said, “Stop worrying; it really counteracts. Focus on love and be positive.” I woke up released from the worry that had been consuming me. I was completely free to move on and to enjoy my pregnancy, and to trust that my baby would be OK. I chose to do just that.

Three months later I was put on bed rest for the remaining four months. During this time I knew I was in the Hand of God and we were both being taken care of. The dream gave me a knowing that I was not alone, but being watched over. I was then able to view and experience my time on bed rest as a gift. Although there was a few incidents and moments of major concern, and even hospitalization – deep in my heart I felt at peace. On March 8th our son was born five weeks early, but healthy and strong.

I remember going to the doctor for my one week after delivery checkup where I was given a clean bill of health. I stood and cried, and cried. They were not tears of sadness or trauma or even tears due to hormonal fluctuations from giving birth, but because we survived and because God was with us in every moment. God was taking care of us no matter what the situation looked like. The knowingness that we were in God’s Hands brought on an overflow of appreciation that poured out of me. I thank you God for the gift of my family.

Divine Guidance, Follow your Heart, Give and Receive Love, Gratitude, Journey of Life, Nature Awareness School, Soul

Whether physically young or old you are first and foremost Soul, an eternal spiritual being here to learn more about love. None of the ups and downs of life will ever change this. This is also true of your neighbor, so find time to love one another. Listening with an open heart qualifies.

Paul Nelson Photo

Early one Sunday morning I drove to the store for an errand. Part way there I got a sudden nudge to turn the car immediately into another store. I only had about a two second window to decide whether to turn or not. Had I passed the turn I would probably have kept on going to my original destination, without giving it a second thought.

Throughout my years at the Nature Awareness School, I have learned to listen and trust these quiet, often subtle, tuggings at my heart. In the past I often let my agenda and my itinerary override input from the Divine. But time after time I had experienced and heard others who benefited from following an inner nudge. Spirit speaks to us continually to guide, protect, and to offer us opportunities to help others. I said, “Yes” without hesitating, accepting the adventure.

I went into the store, not knowing what to expect, but knowing there must be some reason to be here. An elderly man was handing out flyers by the door. We did not make eye contact, but I wondered if he was the reason for my nudge to enter the store. Not sure where to go from here, I stopped at the customer service area near the entrance and began to look over one of the weekly specials, listening for further guidance from the Prophet. I felt drawn to this man, feeling like there was an opportunity to interact with him, so I began walking towards him. I was not sure what I would say or how he would react. He must have felt it too, because he bridged the short distance between us and handed me a flyer. I greeted him and we began to chat.

It seemed like he had been waiting a long time to talk with someone. I wondered how many times I encountered other Souls without ever really acknowledged them, accepting what they offered with no further thought. Bypassing any of the usual introductions or social niceties, the man began to speak to me, Soul to Soul. I listened. His wife had died ten years ago, he told me, and he couldn’t afford to live off of social security. An inner nudge encouraged me to remain open to what he had to share. I had never met this man before but he shared with me as easily as if we had known one another for years. He had turned eighty-four last June and he’d been in this area since he was fourteen years old. He happily recalled working on a farm for six dollars a week and buying a new suit for only seven dollars. The time he recalled was such a different world. A strong survival instinct is one of Soul’s many qualities. This man had done what he needed to adapt. Still, there were challenges and struggles.

As he continued to share with me, he put his hand on my shoulder, pulling me closer to him as if he did not want to let go of the moment. He had tears in his eyes that he kept wiping away with a tissue in his other hand. I was not viewing him as the shell he had worn these many decades. Instead I heard and saw the glowing spark of God, which he truly is. He welcomed me to come visit him again. I left, feeling peaceful. The joy of following Spirit, of completing the adventure, left me feeling grateful for my encounter. I doubt the man remembered me after that, but I still think of him years later. It was a gift for me to meet this Soul who had heartbreaks and joys that punctuated the story of his life. Balancing survival in the physical world while growing in awareness of the boundless world of Spirit is the story of Soul. His story was beautiful and I was blessed to hear it.

I gained two insights, two pearls of wisdom from this experience. First, there is so much more to our, and others, experiences. How often do we stop at the surface when looking at life? When we take the time to leave our bubble of safety and comfort we can really see people for who they are, Soul. This is very doable in the everyday hustle and bustle of our busy lives when we remember to tune in and let that still small voice within guide us. Second, when we listen as Soul, we listen with more than our limited physical senses. Responding to these quiet calls of Spirit, we open the doorway for others to share their hearts.

Happiness is a Consecrated Life

How do we enjoy our time in this world without becoming so wrapped up in it that we become blinded to our higher purpose – how do we attain this balance? The short answer is, you start operating from the perspective of Soul, your true self. It is when viewing the world from this vantage that life becomes a joy to live.    -Enjoy

One of the best ways to operate from the vantage point of Soul, your true eternal self, is to sing HU, an ancient name for God.

rainbow_in_arizona-wallpaper-1920x1080

Have you ever accomplished a goal you thought was going to make you happy only to find it did not quite scratch that itch? I have. I searched for happiness in fancier cars, home ownership, investing, relationships, different religions and more. Some might say, obviously those were shallow pursuits. Others may wonder, what else is there? I tried many paths before I found what I was looking for. I was not aware of a palpable unhappiness, but I noticed I was constantly on to the next thing. There was not a sense of peace or contentment.

It was not until years of study at the Nature Awareness School that this peaceful, happy feeling came into my life. So, what changed? It was not my outer circumstances, although they did change for the better. The outer changes did not make me happy. In fact, I still have the same career and many of the same interests I had before, but my life is profoundly different. What changed was my view of life.

My spiritual teacher Del, a Prophet of God, gave me the means to absorb the key truths that I needed to have a higher view of life. What changed were my faith and my beliefs – my heart. I came to the school out of a deep hope that someone could teach me how to find my way back to God. I did not know this on a conscious level. It was revealed to me over time. This was the goal I had overlooked. The mountain I longed to climb.

I realized this was the whole point of my life; to achieve these goals and continue to manifest my divine nature unceasingly. To offer this to other interested souls. When we consecrate something, we set it apart for God’s use. We declare it sacred. I have hobbies and interests unrelated to spirituality but my whole life is spiritual. This is because I now have a conscious awareness of the Divine in all that I do.

The only thing that has ever made me happy – truly happy – was being used as an instrument for God. I believe that we can all live consecrated lives in our own way. It does not have to be bombastic. We do not have to become nuns or preachers or go trekking off to Africa or a third world country. We do not have to “save the world.” Many times a simple and seemingly insignificant act of kindness can uplift another soul in a very profound way if we are led by the Divine. Most of us are called to serve God in our families and close relationships.

I gave my life to God. Not just an hour on Sunday, or a few classes a year, but me. Everything I am and everything I am not – my whole life. You can do this too. We can be used just as we are; wherever we are. We can trust our lives in the hands of the Divine. If you would like to experience Divine Love, a truly abundant life, with a sense of purpose, freedom and security like no other, I want you to know that it is possible. I found it at The Nature Awareness School.

To head out alone without God is folly. However, to sit back and wait for the Divine to live our lives for us is just as misguided. We follow our hearts and make the effort, doing our part, and God takes care of the “heavy lifting.” It is a team and the strong ask for help. -Enjoy

Singing HU helps one to “draw nigh” – which is a great example of doing our part.

snail_on_wall-wallpaper-1280x1024

Although I have had many great experiences and opportunities, I have spent a great deal of my adult life attempting to figure out what was “normal” and why I was not comfortable being me. My ideas about what it meant to be happy and contented were ambiguous at best.

Partial answers to many of my questions were indeed found through reading various books in the “self help” category. In them I often found the possible reasons why I carried certain emotional baggage. Also, the material that I read about the emotions gave a whole lot of advise about how to rid ones self of inner ills that hold one hostage. Quite insightful, but for me ineffectual since I never remembered to use the advice. I later learned that inner ills such as anger, vanity and lust can only be healed by the Divine.

The real revelations and deep seated healing came once I started studying at The Nature Awareness School. It was there where I was introduced to The Prophet of God, my Divine connection.  In time I became aware that I could not do it on my own and that I needed to get beyond the inner ill of vanity and ask God, “please help me help myself.” I asked in earnest. The very deep “stuff” that surfaced for me to look at and discard, with the help of The Divine, was the beginning of the healing process. Making the choice to think correct thoughts, use self control and practice self discipline became, and remains to be, key in maintaining the emotional healing as well as a sense of balance. By doing my part moment to moment and letting Spirit do the rest, now I no longer carry guilt over past mistakes. I’m less likely to over react to life events and Praise Be to God, I’m finally learning more effective coping skills.

The miraculous sense of true inner peace and freedom that I possess is something that I am now and will always be, eternally grateful for!

Where Is God’s Love?

To believe “God’s love is everywhere” can bring a certain level of comfort to your life. Coming to know this truth through personal experience brings that comfort to a whole new level. It is a blessing that changes everything for the better.

armenia_arpi_lake-wallpaper-1280x960

During a spiritual experience at the Nature Awareness School I was shown where God’s Love really is. As I sat in deep contemplation with the inner Teacher, The Prophet, I felt divine love surrounding and filling me. Then he took me to the earthly home where my wife and I live. I walked up the front sidewalk and saw and felt God’s Love in the grass, the bricks, the steps, the porch, like golden energy all around. Walking inside, God’s Love was there too, permeating the walls, floors, ceilings and furniture. Everything was covered and filled with divine love. Then I was taken into my car, as I was driving to work, each part of the car was coated and permeated with God’s Love, as was the road, sidewalks, traffic lights, even the road signs along the way. This continued as I arrived at work, I saw and felt God’s Love in the walls and fixtures where I worked. Even the people had God’s Love covering and filling them, though many of them were not aware of the love.

Then, as the experience continued, I was taken back to my childhood. I saw myself as a small child playing on the floor of my family’s house. God’s Love saturated that scene, and each scene I was shown as I was growing up. God’s Love was there during the times when I was having “difficulties”. Then I was taken to an event in my future. I was giving a talk in front of a group that has not yet taken place in time, then a conversation with another Soul that has not yet happened, as if it were happening right then. I was shown God’s Love is already there, permeating every event, past present and future!

I am so grateful for this profound revelation. Now it is very real to me that God’s Love is literally everywhere and in every moment! Remembering this as I go about my day makes a huge difference in how I feel and interact with people, and gives me confidence about future events. It also gives me a deep appreciation for each event of my life, even the ones that seemed like apparent “mistakes,” were actually all essential parts of my spiritual unfolding, part of the divine plan for my life that benefited me with wisdom gained and lessons learned.

The challenges of life are still here, but I see them differently now. They do not have me by the throat anymore. God’s ever-present Love gives me an inner strength and sense of inner peace. With God’s help, all life’s challenges are divine adventures of learning and growing in Love. Thank you God for allowing me to experience the reality of your love.

Divine Hand on My Back

This testimony is short and sweet…. not to mention profound. It shows there is no limitation to the ways God can comfort and guide His children.

Rembrandt_Harmensz._van_Rijn_-_The_Return_of_the_Prodigal_Son_-_Detail_Father_Son

I stopped at a restaurant with my daughter one evening and as we sat eating I was thinking about all of the things that I had going on in my life right then. I was getting remarried soon and there were a lot of things to do. I was not paying attention to my daughter but worrying about other things.

Just then I felt a hand touch my back. It pushed down gently between my shoulder blades. I looked around and nobody was standing behind me. There was not anyone near where we were sitting.

As the hand rested on my back I suddenly felt better, as if a weight had been lifted. I was able to set aside the other stuff and spend some quality time with my daughter. I believe this was the Divine giving me a gift of peace, reminding me where my focus should have been. I was able to listen to my daughter, who I do not see very often, and not later regret missing quality time with her.

I am so grateful for that amazing gift of love and comfort. Whenever I get stressed in life I try to remember that day and I begin to see things differently.

This testimony highlights the fulfillment of a prayer in the heart of a seven year old who wanted to know God in this lifetime. Years later she found the deep peace she had been looking for through developing an active relationship with the Divine. She did this with the tools learned and the personal experiences she had at the Nature Awareness School. She now knows that most of our experiences in life can be boiled down to either giving or receiving love and that “Our Father” can truly live in our hearts. Enjoy!

The other day my spiritual teacher asked me “why should we care about God?” His question took me back in time to some memories. As a seven-year-old I asked my mom to explain the Holy Trinity. Despite her loving efforts to help me understand, I did not. Yet it was clear to me at that moment I wanted to know God in this lifetime.

With many mixed experiences being raised in a mainstream religion, I had an experience that stayed in my heart in a very positive way. Attending Sunday school the teacher was absent so a nun came to teach that day. She spoke to us of the Lord’s Prayer. She shared that when she prayed the words “Our Father”, she often could not go any further in the prayer. Those few words could give her hours of contemplation time. I felt her love and reverence for God and prayer. Being passive, I did not ask questions or pursue how one could contemplate on two words from the Lord’s Prayer. I only knew how to recite the words with little clue to their meaning. I was a teenager at that time and learned that it was the last year our church would offer Sunday school to teens due to a lack of interest. I was sad with that news but did nothing to pursue my options. Yet God spoke to my heart that day. A seed of love in my heart was watered reminding me that I wanted to know God in this lifetime, and that at least this one nun had a clue how to know “Our Father”. She had a deep peace about her which I lacked, yet I could feel peace in her presence. I wanted peace of heart too.

Back to the question… why should we care about God? The question caused me to wonder what does it mean to care about God, and how does one express they care about God? I have been blessed in numerous experiences over the past 20 years at the Nature Awareness School to learn in a very personal manner how to find answers to those questions for myself. I have been given many practical tools and methods to use which help me in all areas of life. I have learned through experience that God loves me and shows an interest in every aspect of my life. Through this active process I know that God’s essence, divine spirit is always with me. In this growing relationship with God, divine spirit is teaching me that life is about giving and receiving love.

Recently I helped another to express love by asking a friend to pick a few things up for me from the store as I was not feeling well. In the past I would not have asked for another’s help so readily. I have learned that it is not selfish to ask for help when it is needed. In a way it is selfish not to ask for help. Accepting help allows God’s love to come into our lives through others. It turned out my friend had prayed to be a blessing to another that day. She told me I had more than answered her prayer and asked if she could help in any other way. She was so happy that I accepted help with setting up a CD player so I could watch movies and relax.

Life is filled with God’s love expressed in the day to day events of life. It is so uplifting to see the hand of God working in my life. I have learned through experience that God hears our prayers and is ever present in our lives. “Our Father” now lives in my heart and it brings me peace.

Dreams, Gratitude, Journey of Life

Delmon Brown Hall IV_ RebirthThe journey of life on earth is an interesting venture for sure. As Soul, we come into a physical body and are blessed to experience the joys and pains of living and everything in between. There have been times in my life when I stood on top of the “mountain” so to say and a few times I’ve wanted to crawl into a hole. Even with it’s ups and downs there has fortunately been a consistency for me – I knew it was teaching me something and I have been able to see the silver lining (maybe not always right away). Life is about growth and how is this possible if you never experience anything? Looking back I see mostly things I feel good about and a few I don’t – but to judge myself today for yesterday is not productive. Learn the lesson, move on, and hopefully do better next time. What else can you do? Although – life has a way of giving you another shot sometimes. It might look a little different on the surface but the lesson is the same. What a great feeling this has been on a few occasions when I was conscious of getting another chance.

Something that I have come to know is that Gratitude is the secret to love. Hold the phone! The answer to the riddle of the ages… didn’t see that one coming. But it’s true. There is so much to be grateful for and this view has brought so much love into my life. You can always find something to be grateful for.

A major blessing in my life and something that I feel helped set the course of it was being introduced to the power of dreams very early on. I was stubborn at times and did not always heed the advice they provided me but I knew it was there. A steady consistent source of guidance as I traveled through life. I will testify to you now that dreams are real – they are not residual mind junk from your day. The are a glimpse of the full life you lead, as Soul, beyond the physical. You do not “have” a Soul – you are Soul, you have a body. Some don’t remember their dreams or always start a story with “I had this crazy dream” but I can say with certainty that if you nurture this connection they can become very clear… as clear as in your waking life. Don’t let fifty years of “modern” psychology which says dreams are merely manifestations of your repressed feelings obscure millennia on the truth about dreams. They are one way in which the Divine can communicate with you and this is available to all. They are not some new-age thing.

If you would like to learn how to invite, recall and understand your dreams, ultimately cultivating a richer dream life for yourself, please consider coming to a Dream Study Retreat or Workshop.

Why not take a chance on something new? Something that could bring more joy and balance into your life.
