inOne of the most precious gifts you can give yourself (and others in your life) is learning to confidently trust and follow guidance from Spirit. This guidance is a gift of love and is available for anyone who is receptive to it. God won’t make us follow the guidance, but life is certainly blessed when we do.
I enjoy attending estate sales. When my schedule allows, Saturday mornings I am out at estate sales. Several nights before, I go online and find the sales and plan the best route according to their locations. One Saturday morning I got up and ready to go, but something told me to wait. Okay – so I did a few things around the house. Time was ticking and I was anxious to get going. Wait. I sang HU for a bit then got the feeling it is time to go. Alright! I left and went to the first sale on my list. As I was walking out of the sale, my phone rang.
It was a dear friend of mine and she was at the hospital. Her husband just had his second major surgery in six months. I could barely understand what she was saying. I asked where she was? “I’m at the coffee shop in the hospital.” she said. I replied, “Hold on, I’ll be there in three minutes.” “Yes, only three minutes away.” The first estate sale was a block from the hospital.
Had I not followed the inner nudges from Prophet to wait, I would have been on the other side of town, miles away from my friend. Because I “listened” I was able to sit there with her, listen to her, and support my friend in need. Sometimes all a person needs is for someone to listen to them and just be there for them. I was so grateful to be close by and available when I received her call.
Over the years of attending classes at the Nature Awareness School, Del has taught his students how to recognize, listen to, trust, and follow Divine guidance. In this example the guidance came as an inner nudge or feeling to delay my morning trip to estate sales. I know the nudge was guidance from the Holy Spirit, the inner part of God’s Prophet. I know listening to this inner guidance is always in my best interest. It will never misguide me.
I was grateful to have been there for my friend as she has been there for me over the years. Thank you for that gift of love Prophet.

inEach and every one of us has the opportunity to be a point of light for those we come in contact with. Our acts of love and kindness also spread far beyond our immediate vision. If we keep our hearts open to God as we go through the day it does make a difference. Both for others and ourselves!
Just before Christmas last year I went to the local Wal-Mart to pick up a few things on my way home. Since I only had a couple of items, I got into the express lane for checkout. The store was crowded with shoppers, and our lane moved along slowly until it got to the elderly woman in front of me who was accompanied by her son. The line came to a complete halt as she fumbled in her purse looking for something. Then the murmuring began in those lined up behind me. Even the man who served as the Salvation Army bell-ringer, whom I recognized, began complaining impatiently.
At that moment I felt a nudge to sing HU, a love song to God, which I had learned years ago at the Nature Awareness School. I sang it out loud in a very soft voice just below the din in the store. As I sang I happened to look up into the store’s high ceiling and felt unmistakably a blanket of God’s Peace descend on all of us standing there in line. The murmuring and complaining subsided, and when the son turned to me to apologize for the wait, I was able to respond with a reassuring smile and wish them both Merry Christmas.
It was only months later when I shared in a class at Nature Awareness School that I realized what had transpired that day. Del, my teacher, reminded me of a prayer I had written months before, a prayer asking for help to get over my self-centeredness. In the past I had served more often for the recognition or a pat on the back; but this was an opportunity to serve as a silent Co-worker for God. Del pointed out the potential ripple effects of singing HU that day in the checkout line and reminded me, “No act that is motivated by love is small or insignificant.” Thanks in large part to his teaching and the Grace of God, I responded to that nudge by singing HU from my heart into the chaos of the store.
The joy and fulfillment that filled my heart that day and since then by sharing my story with others trumps any recognition I ever received previously from my old idea of service. And this was no random act of kindness either. It is becoming a way of life for me and a source of eternal gratitude to the Divine. I truly find more joy in service now that it is not about me.

inThe prayers in our heart are heard and answered. Sometimes it just takes listening to the guidance that is given to make them a reality. If you learn to listen to these gentle whisperings anything is possible.
A few years ago, my husband and I sold our house. We had looked in the newspapers, online, and driven around, but we were having a hard time finding something that fit our needs. One evening after work, I had the nudge from Spirit to go for a drive before cooking dinner to see what I could find. I loaded the kids in the car and instructed them to look for yard signs. I followed inner guidance from the Prophet, driving through different neighborhoods. I approached one that seemed familiar and realized we had taken a walk through it several years ago. I remembered saying at the time that it would be a nice place to live. As I looked up the hill, I spotted a “For Rent” sign. Driving around back I saw the yard and immediately knew this was the place.
Our prayer when we first talked about moving was to find a place with a flat yard, a sunny garden spot, a safe neighborhood for the kids to bike in and nice windows for natural light. The house fit all of these, and when we got a tour a few days later, it also had great storage and closet space – another wish answered. It was also priced just below our budget.
Finding this wonderful house was a love gift from the Divine. I simply followed the inner nudge from the Prophet when to go look and which way to drive. As a child of God we each are born with the potential of this inner communication. Taking classes at the Nature Awareness School helped me to really listen to and trust this inner communication with the Divine. God knew what was in our hearts.
The night before we moved my husband asked if there was anything I was going to miss about our old house. I said the only thing was the view of the sunset. We lived on a hill and one of my favorite things to do after a long day was to sit on my chair in the evening and watch the sky change.
When we moved in, to our surprise a huge storm had knocked down some pine trees behind our new house opening the view of the sunset. The week after we moved in, another westward neighbor had a huge oak tree removed. Then after living in the house for one year, the other westward neighbor had two huge maple trees taken down opening our westward view completely. Now some may say this was a coincidence. I know that it was an expression of God’s Love for me and my family. God knows our hearts, and if we listen to His guidance, He will always lead us to the perfect situation and bless us in the process. All because He loves us.

One of the greatest attributes Soul has been created with is the ability to communicate with God. Having this constant lifeline of love and guidance as you go through your day can make life a joy to live. All Souls have the potential for this communication but it must be nurtured. Similar to when learning a new language, it takes time and is much easier when you have a teacher who is fluent.
Lately I have been looking back in my life and realizing the hand of the Divine and Its loving presence has been with me all along. The presence of an inner guide or inner teacher has been right there with me guiding and protecting me all through my life. As I grew in strength spiritually, I began to recognize and notice the Divine presence of the Holy Spirit in every incident and aspect of my life! God has a plan custom designed just for ME!
I first learned about the constant presence of the Prophet from my classes at the Nature Awareness School. I learned the Voice of God, Holy Spirit, was working through him! It was astounding to know God knows my every thought and prayer! At first I was very weak at this recognition. It was like making a commitment to exercise, to get in physical shape! I worked with the skills I learned at the school, very weak at first. As the weakness faded the inner part of the Prophet’s presence grew stronger. As His presence grew stronger I began to have one-sided conversations with the Divine, my side at first! Over time I talked to God and began to LISTEN. Now as I listened to the inner guidance I could hear suggestions coming through, solutions, and long sought answers. Sometimes when I first awaken I will receive an insight to a question I asked the night before.
I learned and became skilled at how my night and awake dreams were customized to help me understand an answer to a prayer. They were alerting me to a solution I was seeking. Sometimes a seemingly random conversation was of importance, even a license plate word would be of significance, a clue to what I had asked. I grew to understand even the timing of an answer was of great value. I was now ready to hear what was in my best interest, always knowing I still had free will to choose.
The confidence I have now, the knowingness, the really knowing with all my heart God hears me is a gateway to a life filled with love and freedom to be just me! It is a comfort beyond all measure. I will ask you this; what if God knows you so well that he knows your every thought and prayer? What if He hears and knows your every word and deed? How would you live your life? Would you live it differently? Would you be grateful to know how very much you are loved and guided?
I know God loves me just the way I am or I would not exist. And to recognize He hears and knows me so personally, better than I know myself, and really cares how my life progresses is a very extraordinary gift. The blessings in my life are endless since I woke up and recognized the loving presence of the Prophet in my life and the personal closeness we have developed together.
I love my life!

inYou are Soul, a spiritual being. You have the ability to directly receive guidance from God. You must first however, learn the “Language of the Divine.” With this loving guidance comes the peace and confidence that can get you through any challenge.
On the way home from work in mid February 2014 I received the news that my dad had passed away. Due to the impending major snowstorm the next day I needed to pack and get out of town as quickly as possible. I ended up leaving town just as the snow flurries began. According to the weather map and predictions once I got into West Virginia I would be out of the worst of the snow, as they were only expecting one to three inches. My plan was to get from Virginia through West Virginia and into Ohio, if possible, where it seemed to be all clear.
As I traveled west of Lexington, Virginia and towards the West Virginia border the snow was coming down quite heavily. Traffic slowed down to forty miles an hour. I got strong inner guidance from the Prophet to slow down and be safe… slow and steady. The snow came down thickly with the snow and ice staying on the interstate.
By the time I was getting close to Beckley, West Virginia, I was driving on snow and ice down to twenty-five miles an hour. Snow was piled everywhere, and it was cold enough that the salt was not melting the ice on the interstate. I talked with a state trooper about the road conditions and he said that although the toll road was not closed, he felt that it should be closed. He recommended I go back one exit and find a motel for the night. With that in mind, I worked my way slowly back to the interstate, and then got very strongly inside the knowingness that I needed to keep on going to Charleston, West Virginia, otherwise I would get stuck in Beckley. I listened and obeyed.
Next to no one was on the road as I wound my way through the mountainous passes in the midnight darkness, going no more than twenty five miles an hour. I felt the Presence of the Divine and knew I was completely in the Hands of God, and was being safely guided by the Prophet. I was totally fearless and had deep peace with an inner “oasis of tranquility.” It was an exquisite experience, being totally reliant on the guidance of the Divine, on the cutting edge of life with clear inner communication. In that moment of time there was nowhere else I wanted to be. I had everything I needed, resting in the Hands of God in that eternal moment of now. What a priceless gift and a template for everyday life, a guide for future situations.
Getting into Charleston around one hour past midnight it was still snowing. In the morning I sat down for my morning contemplation, a time of inner communication and connection with the Prophet and singing HU, a love song to God. After several minutes I received strong inner guidance to put on my clothes, pack the car, and leave immediately. For once I did not question or delay after doing “one more thing;” I just did it! And I am grateful for that inner guidance. Motel personnel told me that it was to continue snowing all day and that traffic was barely moving.
It ended up taking twenty-two hours on the road to my hometown in northern Indiana, and normally it takes eleven hours. I arrived safe and praising God. Since then I have often revisited that experience and savor the love, joy, and inner peace that I experienced being cradled and protected in the hands of God – while listening and being totally reliant on the impeccable guidance of the inner Prophet. He is always there beside me, in my heart, waiting for me to be receptive to the loving guidance and blessings.
Over the years I have learned that listening is much more than just hearing the Divine. I have had the tendency to hear guidance or see clues through night dreams and awake dreams, and then go ahead with what I wanted to do first – “just one more thing and then I respond…” I have found that responding in a timely manner to God’s timing is “really listening.” This experience has changed me at a very deep level.

inAs convenient as modern technology can be, it has its obvious limits. If you do not have your phone, you’re not getting the call. If your internet is down, you’re not seeing your emails. Fortunately, the “inner” communication of Soul is always up and running and can get the message through to those who know the “Language of the Divine.”
It is amazing and beautiful how God’s timing works. Several years ago I did a search on Craigslist for a personal trainer to help me get in physical shape. I said a prayer and asked for God’s guidance to know which trainer would be the right one? God knew. After talking to several people at gyms and fitness facilities, I was lead to the right person. We trained in his fiancee’s garage – not in your normal gym. This was perfect.
We had fun working out and began talking about God, events from our childhood, and the everyday ups and downs in life. We were getting in shape both physically and spiritually. As we talked we saw the blessings and miracles in our lives. We looked deeper into the events that were happening to us and appreciated Gods guidance. We discussed how going through tough lessons in life have made us stronger, and as we went through them, we knew we were not alone. God has been there every step of the way. The year we spent training brought our families together and I was the sister he never had. We kinda adopted one another. We do not always have time to call one another on a regular basis, yet we know we are there for one another.
I had a part time job between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I was working double shifts so it did not leave me much free time. On a Friday afternoon as I left work I got a strong nudge to call my trainer. It was the end of a very long week and all I wanted to do was get something to eat and go to bed. But I scrolled thru my phone for his number but my thumb hit the wrong contact number. “Yes” I said “I would like to talk to that person, but not now.” I kept scrolling and again pushed the wrong contact. I still had this strong urge that I have to talk with my trainer. Finally I got the right number.
I called and there was no answer so I left a message. He called back. I said “Hey, how are you and the family doing?” He says “we are all doing good, I’m a little stressed right now. Are you going to be there?” I asked what he was talking about. “I have been trying to get a hold of you for two weeks now. I dropped my phone in the toilet and lost all my contact numbers. My fiancee and I are getting married in one hour.” I was surprised and asked him to repeat what he said. “We are getting married at the township magistrate in one hour, can you be there?” “Ahhhh, yeah, but I am still in my work clothes and I do not have time to go home and change.” He told me that did not matter, that me being there is what mattered to him and his fiancee. He said “Did you get my email with the details?” I said “No, what email, I have not received anything. I am following the nudge I got.” I asked if he had said any prayers and he answered “Yes, I prayed last night and asked God for someone from my family to be there for me.” I said “Well, your prayers were heard and answered.” So, I turned the car around and headed to the marriage ceremony.
As a student at the Nature Awareness School I have learned to listen to and follow the nudges. Every time I do, it turns out to be a blessing. I am so grateful God communicates with me. It was beautiful to see my adopted brother and his fiancee get married. Thank you Prophet.

inWhen a challenge arises in life we need to do what we can to help ourselves, but it is also important to ask for God’s help. We can also surrender how and when help will manifest. If we keep our heart open by letting the worry go, we are more likely to “hear” when God whispers the answer to our heart.
I was excited about a visit from two elderly dental hygienist friends I had not seen in twenty years. When I found out they lived only an hour and a half from me I invited them to my home for a visit. I was thrilled when they accepted my invitation. We planned to go out to lunch at a nearby restaurant. I was filled with much love and gratitude to share many past memories of working together and pictures of friends and our families.
When it was time to go out to lunch my friends were going to follow me in their car and leave from the restaurant to go home early. But the car they came in now would not start. They had borrowed the car from an older relative who had not driven it in a while. We suspected a dead battery was the problem. Normally my husband would take care of this type of problem but he was working out of town for several weeks, so I proceeded to come up with a solution.
First, I know that I am never alone, the inner Prophet of God is always with me spiritually. I was given a nudge by the Prophet to try and jump-start the battery. This seemed like an easy and logical solution… if it worked. As coincidence would have it a few weeks earlier I had car battery problems of my own. I was given the opportunity by the Holy Spirit to brush up on how to jump-start a dead car battery. I had needed a new battery for my own car and was shown by the salesman how to test and jump-start a battery. I did not know at the time how useful this information would be just a few weeks later! In my haste to solve the problem I retrieved an older set of battery cables from my car, forgetting I had ordered a new set for our other vehicle and had put the new set in the garage.
As a sidebar, at this time of year a farmer in our rural area cuts the fields for baling. It is a process which takes several days to weeks depending on the weather. The previous day the farmer had cut the field next to our property and his next step was to bale it into the large round bales of hay. You never know when he is coming to finish this task. We have never formally met only waved at some distance to each other.
Now I attached my older cables to the battery of my friends car and tried to jump-start the car. It did not work and the car engine did not even turn over. I tried several more times, making sure the connection was clean and tight. Nothing happened. My elderly friends were getting worried and wondering what to do next. In that moment I walked back into the garage and began singing HU, an ancient name for God, silently to myself and prayed a silent prayer asking the Prophet, my inner guide for help. In my enthusiasm to fix the situation I found I could not do this on my own. In those few moments after my prayer two things happened. I remembered that I had a set of new jumper cables. I retrieved them and as I walked back out of the garage I looked down the long driveway and saw our farmer neighbor on his tractor puttering slowly down my driveway! God’s timing of answering my prayer was amazing!
After introducing himself and asking if we needed help the farmer said “I knew there was something wrong seeing two hoods of cars up and ladies standing around!” We all laughed as I said a silent “thank you” to the Prophet for hearing and answering my prayer. I was so overwhelmed with gratitude! The new jumper cables started the old car right up. We thanked the farmer for his assistance. He said he was very happy he could be of help and we all went on our ways to continue our day with so much joy and gratitude.
There are a few obvious lessons in this experience. One is that I learned to ask for help, from my heart, no matter how small the challenge. Another was to surrender outcome and leave the “heavy lifting” up to God and His timing. I was reminded that God is constantly demonstrating His Love for us even in the smallest of tasks. Also I was happy my friends and I were able to jump-start our friendship, it was a love filled gift for me. Mostly, I was reminded how much we are all loved by God and His Prophet and how much He wants us to have abundant, joyful, and blessed lives!

Our love connections with others last way longer than our physical bodies do. Whether it is a family member, friend, or pet, our love for one another carries on beyond a single lifetime. As a gift of love, God often brings Souls back together to continue their journey. What a joyous reunion!
When I was about twelve years old, our dog Mandy died of cancer. I felt sad and missed her, but before long I wanted a puppy. Dad felt differently. Deciding to put Mandy to sleep was hard for him and he would not even talk about getting another dog. So I turned to a higher authority. Every Sunday at church, I prayed for a puppy.
One of my favorite books at the time was “Where the Red Fern Grows.” The boy in that book also prayed for puppies but he knew that God helps those who help themselves. In his family it was a money problem, so he found many ways to earn money little by little to buy his dogs. He did his part. Later, he saw God’s Hand in all the opportunities that appeared to earn the money for his dogs. If he had not sought out ways to work, he would have missed the opportunities that God made available. I wanted to be like that boy, but since it was not a money problem, I did not know what my part was. I did not see it at the time, but part of it was simply being patient until Dad was ready.
About a year later, I was cleaning the kitchen after dinner and felt like I had to go outside. I did not want to, but felt something urging me to go into the back yard. As soon as I stepped out onto the back porch, I heard rustling leaves to my left. I hurried back inside, thinking it could be a raccoon or some other wild animal. Instead, a little puppy walked up to our back door. I got my parents and from the moment Mom picked her up, we did not even discuss whether we would keep her. We only talked about what we would do if anyone tried to take our new puppy, Charley, away from us. I knew she was the answer to my prayers.
Listening and obeying the nudge to go outside was also doing my part. Years later I learned from Del, the Prophet, that nudges are one of the ways that God communicates with us. An urge to take a different route, to check something before leaving the house, or to call a friend or loved one are all gifts from God. Opening the door that night was both a gift and an answer to a prayer. She was the perfect dog for us.
In my prayers I had requested a big dog, maybe an Alaskan malamute and husky mix. God knew better. Our little Corgi mix lived to play and give love. About a year later, my parents separated. Charley was the perfect size to sit on laps and comfort the whole family. Her loving companionship blessed all of our lives. I prayed for a dog, but God gave us so much more in His answer. He gave us love, joy, comfort, laughter, and a friend. Charley lived a long happy life and died in her late teens. Before she died, I would often look into her eyes and tell her how much I loved her and that if she wanted to come back in a new body, I would love to have her. Animals are soul just like we are. Soul tends to reincarnate with other Souls they have known or loved in the past, dogs included. I wanted Charley to know that she would be welcome if she wanted to come back.
A few years later I had moved to Charlottesville and was thinking about getting a dog. I hesitated since I lived in an apartment with no backyard and did not relish the thought of daily walks through rain, sleet, and snow. When volunteering at the local SPCA walking dogs, I looked in each dog’s eyes and wondered if this was Charley. If she came back and I found her, walking in the rain would be just fine, but none of the dogs was her.
Then during a class Del suggested that I get a cat. I adopted Bravo from the animal shelter soon afterwards and quickly fell in love with the most loving cat I have ever met. As we got to know each other, I started to wonder if he was Charley. Little things Bravo did reminded me of her and I kept thinking of Charley when I looked at my cat. I was still wondering about this when I took Bravo to the veterinarian. I now lived in a different town and the veterinarian did not know anything about Charley, but when I walked in the receptionist asked, “Is that Charley you have in the carrier?” I knew the answer was yes.
The receptionist’s question was an awake dream, another one of the many ways that God communicates with us. It confirmed what I suspected. The prayer in my heart had been answered; my childhood friend had come back to be with me again. With God and love, anything is possible, even a dog reincarnating as cat.

inGod constantly showers us with His Love. Often this love comes in the form of guidance, which at times can be very subtle. Learning how to trust those seemingly simple or random thoughts and feelings that come from God is key to living an abundant life.
Several inches of heavy, wet snow had fallen and the day shift employees were working in groups shoveling one another out of the parking lot. It was heart warming to look out and see the cooperation between workmates; a demonstration of love in action. After slowly making my way home, I realized that I would need to shovel the driveway off before parking the car. Also, when I glanced at my front porch I saw that the snow had drifted up against the front door three feet high. My work was cut out for me. I decided to park the car across the street, and then dig my way into my house to use the restroom and have a cup of coffee before tackling the snow. Furthermore, once the car was parked, it became apparent that it was stuck in deep slushy snow.
I removed enough snow so that I could get the front door to the house open, went inside, used the restroom, turned up the thermostat on the furnace, made some coffee and enjoyed it nuzzled in my favorite chair. After awaking from a short nap, it was time to get the car unstuck.
As it was, the tools that I had to get my car unstuck were a broom and my hands, since the small shovel which I kept in my auto for situations such as this got broken an hour before when I lent it to a co worker back in the parking lot. Also, the shed where I kept my full sized snow shovel was also barricaded by the drifted snow. In retrospect, it seems quite ironic that I carried that same little shovel in my vehicle every winter and never needed it for digging my car out until after it broke. I am grateful and certain that every detail was in place to teach me some valuable lessons of living.
I rocked the car, dug the tires out, and rocked some more. After surveying the tires, it was apparent that only one tire was keeping me stuck. It was spinning on ice while the other three made contact with the pavement. I had done all that I could. I calmed myself and gave in. Within an instant the Prophet spoke to my heart. “You have a coffee can of sand in your trunk.” The 13.5 oz of play sand had been gifted to me by a man from my work back a few months earlier, after we had a conversation about adding sand to paint to keep painted porch steps from being slippery when wet. In a gesture of kindness he brought me sand. It had turned too cold to paint so I placed it in my trunk. Oh my goodness, the can of sand had been in there since early fall and every time I used my trunk I would see it and get a strong sense to just leave it alone. I gratefully, joyfully, and carefully placed the sand in front and back of the tire. My heart overflowed with hope that the car was no longer stuck. I heard something and I looked toward my snow drifted driveway and there was a neighbor plowing out a space for me to park in. God’s Love worked through another Soul and blessed me by doing the heavy lifting!
One crucial insight that I received from the experience is that the my Divine connection, the Prophet of God, guided me throughout the situation. As I arrived at a place of calm surrender, as Soul I heard the whisper of Divine Love and protection, which led me away from sorrow, toward victory.
By the Grace of God, I am not alone!

inGod sees and knows all – all that has passed and all that will come to be. He seeks to share some of this vision with His children when there is an opportunity to bless us. The key is learning how to recognize and follow those gentle whisperings – those nudges or seemingly random thoughts for what they are. They are gifts of love in the form of guidance.
Our books will help you to recognize the many ways God expresses His Love to you daily. You may preview them HERE.
I remember exactly where I was sitting when it happened. The idea came gently, as if carried by a soft breeze through an open window. I could go visit my mother. A seemingly random idea, but I wanted to consider it. You see I have learned from the Prophet that when I place attention on gentle nudges like this I may be able to appreciate something more. Something I had not been aware of. It could be a loving nudge from the Holy Spirit to help me have a much more abundant life.
My mother had been sick for a long time. She was in her eighties now and her kidneys were failing. Her condition was stable. Nothing had changed as far as we knew. I had just visited only weeks ago. I live in Virginia and my mother lived with my younger brother and sister over nine hundred miles away in Florida. It really did not make sense to go now. About six months ago she had been discharged from the hospital to home hospice care. I had been able to be there. It was a bittersweet time. My brother, her real primary caregiver for years, and my sister and I were there as the nurse explained things and did a brief exam. Our mother was frightened and confused and we all just wanted to help her. The nurse’s name was Maria and we liked her right away. She was right out of “central casting,” except she was not acting. She really cared. You could see it in everything she did.
I would like to share with you just one of the amazing blessings that were given in this. Maria had a beautiful Spanish accent and my mother just happened to love the Spanish language. I think this connected her to a very happy time in her life. A long time ago she was a bright college student working on a master’s degree in the Spanish language. Mom was to have several different nurses take care of her over the next months. It turned out that Maria was the one who admitted new patients, not one of the nurses assigned to regular care. It seemed unfortunate at the time, but it turned out to be very fortunate indeed.
So, back to the idea of a visit. The gentle nudge or thought was to come again over the next few days before I suggested the idea to my husband. My mother really loved my husband and she had not seen him for a while. We could have a nice visit. We could fly to Tampa, rent a car, and drive the rest of the way. This would take us over a really long, high, bridge that spans Tampa Bay that I had seen on a previous visit, that I thought my husband would enjoy. We decided to go. There just happened to be a great inexpensive charter flight available with the perfect departure and arrival times. We got in late on a Friday. My brother had told us right before we left that everything was stable with mom. He then greeted us with the news that our mother had stopped eating and was becoming unresponsive.
She did not seem to be with us much that first evening, and she had not spoken except for a few words. But as we started to say goodnight, all of a sudden in a strong clear voice she said, “I love you all.” This was a pretty stunning gift for all of us, but I thought it may have been an especially beautiful gift for my brother. Maybe a thank you for his long devotion and care.
Many amazing things continued to happen over the next few days. We were able to arrange for everything that would be needed to care for her and everyone, as the time of our mother’s passing grew near. Everything just seemed to fall into place. It was as if we were being gently guided by God’s Love. And that is what was happening. We called hospice to come check her and check us to make sure we were able to care for all her needs. Her regular nurse was on vacation and so you may have guessed, Maria came. She lovingly examined our mother and said that she seemed exceptionally peaceful. We asked if she might be better cared for in an actual hospice. Maria said that if she was someone in her own family she would not move her. She would keep her right there.
Our mother peacefully passed on a few days later. We needed to call hospice and let them know and then they would send her nurse. Her nurse was still on vacation, so Maria came. She checked our mother and then we all sat and talked, and cried, and were just generally very grateful for how blessed we had all been. But the blessings did not stop there. There was the calling of family and friends. It was amazing to see the solace that was given back and forth. We had one sister and our niece in Puerto Rico and our older brother in California. Everyone was able to come. We were all able to be together.
Everything just worked out, down to the flowers, and the food, and the pictures, to who just happened to sit near each other to say something, or be able to touch someone at just the right time. Everything worked out beautifully. It was way beyond anything we could have done. It all was an example of what a loving God does. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you that months earlier I had prayed and asked the Prophet that if I could be of help, could I please be there at her passing. It all turned out in the end like it always does, if we have the eyes to see. This may sound too good to be true. It’s not. It’s what God, the Holy Spirit, and the Prophet do for us, usually unnoticed.
This is but a glimpse of some of the abundance that God brings into your life through your relationship with His Prophet. I hope you may take time to consider what more there may be for you. His hand is out, will you take it?

God can communicate with each and every one of His children. This communication comes in many ways and sometimes is so subtle we could easily disregard it. Learning to recognize, trust, and act on this guidance can save not only our lives, but the lives of those around us.
Our books are filled with stories that will help you understand how God communicates. You can preview them for free HERE.
Occasionally I have to travel for work. One Saturday in December I had an out of state job in Maryland, about a three and a half hour drive from my home. The weather report indicated that there was a seventy percent chance of snow in the morning. I set my alarm for 5:45 am. Something woke me up several minutes before the alarm went off so I got ready and headed out a little earlier than expected. A beautiful light snow was falling as I drove out of my neighborhood and into the mountains.
I enjoy singing the HU throughout my day and have been doing so for years. I put a HU CD on in my car to listen to as I left my house. The HU is a beautiful love song to God. It helps me relax, be in the moment, fills me with peace, love and joy, and helps me walk through my day more gracefully. Today it also brought me protection. While HUing that morning, I was very aware of my spiritual teacher’s presence with me on the inner. I have grown to realize that this relationship is the key to everything good in my life.
Snow was starting to stick to the mountain roads and they were becoming a little slippery, I prayed to God for a safe drive. Shortly after I crossed the mountain the temperature rose above freezing causing the snow to change to rain. And though it rained the entire time, I drove for the next two hours up to the DC area without incident. The speed of the traffic around the DC beltway was about fifty-five to sixty miles an hour.
Everything was going smoothly when, “out of the blue” I got a brief thought or image of a car on the highway spinning out of control. Though it seemed to be a random or unusual thought, from years of experience I trusted and knew that I should pay attention. I took my foot off the gas and stepped on the brake to slow down. The people behind me slowed down too.
Shortly after I decreased my speed a lady in a green Jeep Cherokee, two vehicles ahead of mine, lost control of her car. She swerved across three lanes of traffic and smashed into the concrete highway divider. Then her car bounced and spun out of control back across the highway. The man to the left of me locked up his brakes and fishtailed toward her. He just missed hitting her by inches. Eventually her car stopped sideways in the middle of the road. Had I not slowed down I would have hit her broadside. We were on a curve in the road and many cars behind us were still approaching. Some of the drivers had probably seen the brake lights or what had just happened and slowed down, though there were others coming around the bend who were caught off guard. I had a strong feeling to keep moving because this was not a safe place to be. I drove past the lady in the car and saw that her airbag had deployed. She looked like she was shaken but seemed okay. I pulled over ahead of the accident and out of danger and called 911.
Through this experience I know that God’s Love and Grace had once again blessed my life. The Hand of God and the protection of the HU saved me from a major car accident. I was given a subtle warning. If I had not trusted that inner guidance and immediately followed that nudge to slow down, I could have crashed into her vehicle. If I had not been woken up a few minutes earlier than my alarm was set for, I could have been in this accident or have been stuck behind it for hours and would not have made it to my job on time. Perhaps the biggest gift of all was, because God had put me in that particular spot on that particular day, several of the cars behind me may have also avoided being in a very serious accident themselves.

Learning how to confidently “follow your heart” under God’s guidance is one of the greatest attributes you can develop as Soul. Doing so helps to manifest more truth, clarity, guidance, love, wisdom, and ultimately, a deep peace into your life.
As a child and into my teen years I had a re-occurring nightmare. It simply contained two parts. I was overwhelmed by the feeling of regret and terrified that I was alone. I would wake up sweating and feeling that I was not safe. The regret would linger even though it made no rational sense. I was so grateful to wake up and have the dream over.
Occasionally this undercurrent of emotion would surface in my waking life and I would feel overwhelmed by regret. I am a good person, but sometimes looking back at situations I would wish I had done things differently, or spoken a little softer. I found regret a hard emotion to shake. Sometimes I would spend sleepless nights tossing and turning, replaying situations over and over, never seeming to shake this emotion, even though I knew it was not possible to go back and change an earlier situation.
When I first came to Del’s school I had not shared this dream with anyone, except my parents who had comforted me as a child after these nightmares. Yet once while sharing something else with him at a class, Del turned to me and said he wanted to help me live this life without any regrets. I remember at the time thinking “how could he have known this was a deep rooted issue for me?” I trusted him and knew that he would keep that promise to me. And he has.
Through both teaching me on the outer in classes at the school, and on the inner in dreams, awake dreams, and experiences, I can now say that with the Divine’s help I have said goodbye to regret. One of the greatest gifts of Divine communication is the ability to know what is truly in our hearts. God is the one who placed dreams in our heart and is the one to guide us in fulfilling them. Over time I have developed confidence and trust in the Holy Spirit’s guidance and to follow wherever it leads me. This has led me to the husband of my dreams, to a job I love, and to physical health. All these subtle nudges from the Divine bless me and to lead to a more abundant life.
Do you want to live without regret too? Perhaps listening to your dreams, or the subtle whispers in your heart can help you to know what is truly important to you, and help you to say goodbye to regret and hello to peace. The true and lasting peace that comes from knowing that you are following your heart under God’s guidance. The true peace of knowing that you are clearly and accurately listening. It it truly a blessing of Divine Love to live in peace. Deep peace is available for you too.

inIt is hard for some to accept that we are each known and loved personally by God. The Divine constantly showers us with this love in very specific ways. God’s Love comes in ways that are special to us – in forms we can recognize and accept. Once you learn the “Language of the Divine” you will see and feel this love everywhere.
As a kid, walking to and sitting on this old familiar bench that overlooked the Hudson River was a place where I found peace. I visited this bench many times over the course of my life right up into my twenties.
In November, I attended a spiritual class at the Nature Awareness School. Shortly after our group HU sing I sat on a bench that overlooked the pond. As I sat peace filled my heart, and then I had a memory of seeing the sun’s reflection in that same pond five years earlier. It was the sun I saw, but it was more than the sun; it was an overwhelming reflection of God’s Light and Love.
As I continued to sit and remember and re-experience, I noticed a single white oak leaf floating on the pond. It was brilliantly red and completely surrounded by the color blue. Then the red turned to orange and then to gold, and it was a gold that I have never seen here on Earth before. It was the most beautiful leaf that I have ever seen; a symbol to me of God’s Presence and Love. This sight gave me more peace and such joy, and my heart was singing. It was a gift just for me and I instinctively knew it. God has used leaves before as a way to get my attention, and again He was letting me know I am not alone, and that I am loved.

If someone has the “eyes to see,” they will recognize when Spirit is trying to get a message through to them. This guidance can come in unlimited ways from unlimited sources throughout your day. It might be very dramatic but it most cases it is very subtle. Learning to become aware of these communications is an art-form.
Learn more about this art-form HERE.
Early one morning at work I was in the staff lunch room putting my lunch in the refrigerator. My sight was drawn to a yellow light glowing in the parking lot. It was illuminated unusually bright. First I wondered if someone left their car parking lights on, but saw that the rest of the lights on the car were off, so that wasn’t the case. Second I noticed the sun was rising from the east over the hill and perhaps was at a perfect angle to illuminate this one light. Third I took the scene in a bit more and noticed that the car belonged to a friend who works with me. These three things caught my attention and caused me to wonder if there was a message in there for me. A nudge had me check in with my friend whose parked car was glowing with light.
In the course of the morning I had a chance to stop by her office and say hello and ask how her weekend was. As she turned to greet me it was evident from her troubled facial expression that something was concerning her. She welcomed me in and within a few moments asked if she could speak with me confidentially.
She shared about three concerns and worries she had experienced over the weekend with three different family members. She had listened to each of the individual family issues to the best of her ability, but felt badly for each one and the tough times they have to go through. She could not let their fear, worry, and anger go that was discussed over the weekend. As she shared she saw more clearly that the emotions she was wearing were not hers to wear. She realized that there was only so much she could do for her family and the rest was their responsibility to work through, not hers. She was gaining insight into being supportive, and then knowing when to step back and surrender the outcome. Her willingness to share helped relieve her worries. She said she felt better, now able to face the busy day ahead at work. You could clearly see the stress that was so evident minutes before had lifted. Her facial expression now relaxed. She looked like herself again.
Reflecting on this experience I learned Divine Spirit is always talking to me. It catches my attention in any way it can to help me be receptive to Its message. The Light of God illuminated a parking light on a friend’s car at a very precise time that morning so I would see It! The Light of God shed Its understanding on a friends heart, bringing peace to her so she could move forward with her responsibilities at work. Following my nudges and paying attention to follow the guidance of Divine Spirit that morning helped to strengthen my inner communication with the Voice of God.

inPeople through the ages have wrestled with the same questions, “Does God hear me and if so, what does His reply sound like?” The answer to the first question is yes, God hears you. Learning to recognize His reply is an art-form, one that is very doable and one my father has been helping people gain fluency in for twenty-five years. Your ability to recognize the “Language of the Divine” – to see all the ways in which God communicates with you daily is one of the greatest attributes you can develop as Soul.
When do I get to talk to God?
When I was a child, I had a question in my heart that I never asked anyone. I wondered, “When do I get to talk to God?” I could not think of someone to ask this question. Who would know? Not my parents, friends, or even a priest. When I watched movies about the afterlife, I paid attention to see if they had any ideas about the matter, but I never saw anything that satisfied me.
I did not have something I wanted to say; I wanted to listen to God. What would He tell me, in that hoped for meeting? Would He explain the why of everything, or was there something more, something deeper that He would express? Though my mind wondered if only important people would be blessed with such a meeting, my heart always asked when, never if.
Still seeking an answer, I began taking classes at the Nature Awareness School in 1996. As soon as I arrived on the property, I felt like I had come home. When Del spoke about Spirit, I heard truth. I knew I had come to the right place.
What I did not realize until much later is that my question was already being answered. In that class, I sang HU for the first time. Singing HU, expressing Soul’s love to God, is communication. God hears every HU, every prayer, and answers in some way. When a beloved child says, “I love you,” a loving Father does not sit silent. He answers, “I love you, too” in countless ways. Learning to recognize and accept the love that returns time and again is one of the many joys of this path.
In time, I began paying attention to my dreams and, most importantly, developing an inner relationship with the Prophet. Through the relationship, I can be in constant communication with God. The love I feel, a nudge to try something a little differently, a helpful dream, and awareness of how I can make my life even better are all from God through the Prophet. His presence blesses me every day. Rather than one hoped for meeting I found I could communicate with God daily, even every moment, as long as I remain aware of the Prophet.
My mind had it wrong years ago. Every Child of God is important and precious to God. He reaches out to us constantly, communicating in every possible way, and maybe a few more, too. The question is not are you important enough for God to talk to; the questions is, are you listening?

inIf you could talk to the whole world for five minutes what would you say? The “pearl” of your answer is knowing what is in your heart. Whether you get the chance or not to share it with the entire world, a single member of your family, a friend or co-worker, your life will be that much richer for knowing the answer.
Sometimes it can be difficult to determine what is “in your heart” versus what is simply coming from your mind. Our retreats and books will help you learn to know the difference.
I was once asked by my father, and spiritual teacher, an amazing question. If I could talk to the whole world for five minutes what would I say? Wow, what a question. Honestly, my first thought was that most people might not listen for five minutes so I better be succinct. The question, and imaginary opportunity, really stuck with me. In essence, the question really boils down to – what are the key truths that I have been blessed with on my spiritual journey that could possibly bless other souls. So here goes…
Please listen with your heart. Quiet your mind. Your “heart”, deep inside, already knows these truths, because God put them their when you were created from His Love. You are a child of God. You are loved beyond your wildest imagination. God wants to draw nigh (Close to you). Open yourself. Listen to the small still voice in your heart. You are Soul – an eternal spark of God. You were created with everything you will ever need. You will never be more divine than you are at this very moment – but you can be more aware of your Divinity. You can manifest your Divinity more in your daily life. How? Sing HU – a love song to God. Accept the hand being offered to you by God, specifically the Prophet’s hand. God loves you so much he sent a guide to walk you home. If your favorite Guide returns to the physical, then follow him. Until that time, God sent another to teach and comfort his children. If God trusts his Prophets then so can you. Your true home is in the heart of God. Your spiritual inheritance of wisdom, peace, clarity, joy, comfort, love, and so much more awaits you, while still living in the flesh. Allow God and his raised up Prophet to show you a view of life that you never consciously knew existed. Build a relationship with your guide on the inner and outer. Listen to the Divine guidance offered freely in dreams, awake dreams, inner communication, and nudges. Break free of the illusion that God no longer is active – that He did all his work, and then retired, long ago. Soar and experience the boundlessness and the everlasting love of God directly, while living a more abundant life here and NOW.
Do not think it is possible? I promise you it is. God has blessed me beyond what I could have ever imagined. I prayed to be led Home. I prayed to be shown truth. I prayed to experience Divine Love. I have taken the hands offered to me and walked through the threshold of the open door. Thank you for listening. Take a chance to walk in God’s Love, it will make this current life so full and special.

Guidance from God can come in many ways and be about any part of our life. Sometimes it can be very obvious, sometimes very subtle. The key is being aware and learning to trust what your heart knows to be true, regardless of what anyone else says.
Our Dream Study Retreats and Workshops can help you recognize and understand the ways God is trying to guide you to a happier life.
In the summer of 2013 my husband Mark and I were planning a week long vacation in Houghton Lake, Michigan to visit friends and family. We currently live in Virginia so all our searching had to be done on the internet. We found a listing “Romantic Cabin for Two” that looked promising, but it was twenty minutes away from my aunt’s house. My aunt thought we should rent a cabin that was across the street from her. Which to pick? It was hard to decide if we should be closer to her or enjoy the nicer lake getaway. I asked my inner guide, the Prophet, for help and then went about the day.
While at the store shopping the next day I was cruising an isle of spices when a bag of bay leaves caught my eye. I picked it up and opened the twist tie to inhale the rich aroma of the leaves. They smelled wonderful. Even though I did not need them I threw them in the cart. Later that night I was looking at a map of Houghton Lake to see exactly where the cabin we liked was in relation to my aunt’s house. I discovered it was located on the bay. Then I realized my strong attraction to the bay leaves was telling me to stick with my original choice, the cabin on the bay!
I shared this awake dream dream during my first Dream Retreat at the Nature Awareness School and the teacher, Del IV, helped me see a pearl of wisdom in this experience. He asked the question, “What if the bay leaves meant to leave the bay?” (Bay- LEAVE). I took a moment to check how I felt. He told me not to change my answer. He reminded me to follow my heart when interpreting an awake dream. Awake dreams most often are confirmations of what we already know to be true.
Mark and I decided to book the romantic cabin. I attended the Dream Retreat before I went on vacation so this was a good opportunity to test my “truth detector.” This is something I learned about at the Nature Awareness School. We all have one; it is a blessing from God that helps me to navigate through life. It allows me to know truth when I hear it and has been strengthened as I have learned to trust my inner communication from the Prophet.
Sure enough, when Mark and I pulled up the gravel drive to the bayside cabin our jaws were dropping. The entire place inside and out was put together with so much love. It was more beautiful than the pictures online. Even my aunt, who was originally disappointed in our decision, said we made the right choice.
God can use anything, even a bay leaf, to get a message across if we are receptive to Its Voice. We can ask God for help. There is no issue too small. If it is important to us, it is important to God. We are Soul and as such God has given us the ability to receive Its guidance. This inner communication is my lifeline. Knowing that God is still active and guiding me has made my life such a joy to live. We are never alone!

inThe Divine seeks to bless us with insights and guidance in all areas of our life, even with finding the perfect job. The key is – can you hear and understand those gentle whisperings and will you trust and follow the timing?
Last summer I was down to the wire of needing a job. Right before leaving for a weekend retreat up at the Nature Awareness School I got a nudge to look at job listings. I opened up an ad on Craigslist for an administrative assistant. The job opening was for a part time position in a town thirty minutes away.
After the weekend I asked for guidance on the inner from the Prophet in writing a cover letter and tweaking my resume. Taking these with me it felt important to go and fill out an application at the Housing Authority, which was handling applications for the hiring company. When handing in the paperwork I inquired when the application paperwork would be picked up by the property management company and was told it would probably happen once the ad was done running.
While in town I visited some other businesses and left resumes. After listening to a very strong inner nudge to at least drive by the company’s office to see where it was located, I decided to park nearby and commune inwardly with the Prophet. Asking on the inner what I should do, I got a very strong sense of a “can do” attitude and energy as a team, and that it would be important to hand a resume and cover letter directly to someone in the office. As I started to walk towards the office I got inner direction to not go there quite yet. Walking with and listening to the inner guidance I was reminded of the importance to detach from the outcome. It may have also been a timing issue.
When I got to the office the door was locked and the doorbell was lit up. I saw someone inside and got the “inner go ahead” to press the doorbell. A Vice President from the company came to the door. When I handed her my resume and letter for the job opening she had a very puzzled look on her face, and said that they did not have a job ad on Craigslist and that there was someone already in that position.
Well she continued to talk, she said that they were having a crisis at another location several hours away and that was taking their attention at the moment. Eventually she came back around to say that actually they were not happy with the current person in the position at the local property and had not yet addressed it due to the crisis situation. She mentioned that they hire through a specific temp agency. I told her that was interesting, as that is the company I currently work for! She came up with the idea that perhaps it would be an easy transfer. Then she said she knows that you are not supposed to talk about religion in the industry, but this is a “God thing!” I agreed with her that it definitely was a “God thing!”
As I was returning home I received a call to set up an interview and chose the earliest available date, which was the next morning. By the following Monday I was working in that position! It evolved from no ad, no job, to starting to work the following week! The temp agency says they never use Craigslist to advertise and no one has taken credit for writing the ad. The ad was written for me, tailor made to match my work skills and experience. In my heart I am very grateful to God. Getting the job is just one layer of the blessings. My gratitude is especially deep for the teamwork and relationship that I experienced with the Prophet. A loving relationship with the Prophet of God is priceless and affects all areas of life in a positive way.
Another precious layer, God read my heart. For the past several years it has been my dream and goal to work and live in that town, but the goal seemed so far away from fruition. God’s plan and timing is impeccable. All sorts of details, large and down to very small, have come together in this job and it has been a perfect match for me and for the company. Things have worked out way beyond any possible planning on my own. Truly we are loved by God, and the love and blessings are available and showered upon us. It took the teachings of the Prophet to be aware of and to see and experience God’s love for me.

Another benefit to learning the “Language of the Divine” is being able to hear when God is trying to warn us of danger. In the following story the author received multiple insights that quite possibly saved her life. They came in the form of what some would consider “coincidences.” The warnings were more than coincidence.
I was driving to work on a Sunday and flipping through the radio stations when I heard a voice that I recognized. It was a friend of mine on NPR talking about his work. So I listened to it until I got to work.
When I left work the radio station was still on the same channel. I typically do not listen to this station but found myself listening to “Car Talk” with Click and Clack. A woman called in and asked about her steering wheel shaking, as I listened, I recognized that my own steering wheel had been shaking for a few weeks. I was curious to hear the problem and they told her she had a tire problem and she needed to get it fixed immediately because if it fell off or broke on the highway it could be the end of her. Right as they said this, my check engine light came on, another awake dream for me to pay attention.
The next day I listened to a spiritual seminar where the speaker mentioned listening to Click and Clack the day before. I was very excited to hear this about the show I “randomly” was listening to the day before! So needless to say after all these awake dreams, I was paying attention. I took my car in the next day and it came back with a huge amount of problems with an estimate of around eight thousand dollars to fix. One of the problems was with my axles; they were dried out and ready to separate at any moment, making driving very dangerous. With the very high estimated cost of the repairs it made more sense to just by a newer used car.
In the morning I sang HU and contemplated as to how dangerous the car was and could I drive it for a little while longer? I did not want to rush into buying another car. I prayed to God and opened a spiritual book “at random” and it said “We serve God and life out of gratitude. Why? For the blessings we have received. What is the greatest blessing? The gift of life itself. It’s living. It’s getting more experience in life, learning more about who and what you are.” I definitely took this as another awake dream that my car is dangerous and could potentially cost me my life. The hand of God was guiding me and protecting me throughout this experience. I am so grateful for the teachings that have taught me how to recognize the hand of God in my daily life.
